The A-star will mostly be shown to public officially in Paris motor show and then after it will hit the market.

I think we already have a thread on this.

That is not the final shape of A Star (new Alto) that Autocar India showed in Sep'08 edition.

Some website reperted it to be today i.e. 08-Nov-2008, but looks like it is wrong.
The dates earlier that have come up are 17-Nov-2008. I hope that is true.
There was also a post where it was said that Maruti is planning to come up with this car in 2009.

EDIT : Here is the post.

I am not sure about its accuracy. Mostly and hopefully its 17-Nov-2008.

A-Star launch on 19th November - confirmed !!

Hi guys

The launch of A-star has been confirmed for 19th November. Just to jog your memory, this litte 'star' would be powered by an all new 1.0L engine which is said to be very fuel efficient.

The car looks a little strange from the outside, but the interiors seem to be good.

I would say the car is going to be priced above the wagonR and the Zen, close to the i10.

What do you think ?

Lets hope for the best.
I dont think it will be more priced than the wagon R or the zen
Its an alto replacement in the international market after all and will sell by the name alto else where.

Lets hope a deisel engine without much waiting.
