Guys,

I have been quoted 7k's for clutch replacement on my Palio 1.2 which I feel is a bit too high. Is the price ok?

I have also paid 5k's for the exhaust muffler. I am finding the spare parts price a bit too high. Can anyone please confirm?

I can confirm that 5K for the exhaust muffler is alright, the same was quoted to me as well.

About the clutch kit, I had replaced the same for 4.5K on my earlier Palio 1.2, but I'm talking about 2005 here, so 7K should be more or less alright now. More than the spare part prices, its the 50% labour charges that are a killer actually.

why is the tail lamp assembly cheaper for the diesel than the petrol??

why is a set of spark plugs on the 1.6 only Rs 340 whereas on the 1.1 it costs Rs1180. is that a typo??

Also it is now more expensive to service a 1.6, some things here just dont make sense. but its still a good overall move.

i wish mangesh would also provide the prices for the older versions.

Uhh How come a cost difference for MJD and Petrol Tail lights when both in structure and appearance are same!!

Also the prices are inclusive labor and taxes or without?

I recently replaced the right side Tail light of my Stile 1.6!

It cost me Rs 16xx/- something! Pretty decent price.

I suppose the older one cost around Rs 19xx/-

Th new Tail light has white strip for L-R indicators whereas older version of Petrol Stile used to come with yellow indicators which is costly than the white ones!

Attached are the pics of the 2 different tail lights:

Older Stile version (Petrol 1.1/1.6)

for PALIO clutch replacement gear box needs to be removed & hence the cost of the labour is a bit high, its costs around 6k-7K here in bangalore, even bosch car service centers quote the same price....

during Sundaram service days customers have been ripped upto 40K for clutch replacement which includes the clutch price as well...

but does any one know where i can get a front grill for the palio(prev gen)
im not able to get it at the service center's (prerana and green tracks)
i don't mind a chrome grill.I just don't want to be driving around with a cracked front grill.

Did you try Concorde on Mysore Road? They are the best for Fiat in Bangalore. They seem to stock most parts for Palio.

Great News. It looks like Fiat finally woke up from their uninterrupted sleep. This is a great step to induce customer confidence and build up its image in India. It seems they have now realised what a fan following Fiat has in India and whats stopping them to be up on top on the sales chart. Great going Fiat.

Off the traack : Now please bring in the Fiat Adventure Locker too Fiat. The more I have a look at it the more I wish I had one Give us many more reasons to rejoice.

Palio Phased out & Production stopped by Fiat?

Palio Phased out & Production stopped by Fiat to improve Punto sales and prevent cannibalazation as there is 30-50K price diff.

I dont think there is any cannibalization at all. Since the Palio brand is long gone in terms of brand value, it does not matter even if the price difference less than 10K. there wont be any cannibalization. The sales numbers emphasize the same.

By the way any idea on the price of the front bumper and left side OVRM along with mirror?
