Great scoop there, sidindica. Wats takiya mean in this context?

EDIT: Guess DCEite has already answered. Wasn't that Taka though, as in "Take ser bhaaji, Take ser Khaaja"

brilliant scoop. Any idea about by how much the Lx variant would be costlier than the base version?

Taka used to be the currency one upon a time.So taka refers to rupee.

Great scoop Sid, hats of to you.

Looks like Tata is going to clear all their WB plant (mamta) losses by selling forms itself.

A First Scoop once again. Hats off to you Sid.

OT: "Taka" is still used used in West Bengal as the colloquial word for rupees.

Team-bhp rocks!
Great scoop and amazingly detailed.

Would like to place a booking for an LX or CX.

Any details about the price difference between the base, CX and LX versions?

Considering 10 lakh bookings

Booking forms revenue-30 crores(taking 300/- per form).

Booking revenue - 7000 crores(taking 70,000/- as booking amount).

The waiting period of the Nano would well be double that for the current Dzire diesel!

Still skeptical about the anticipated total booking number considering the relatively high booking amount and uncertainty of delivery period.

Great news! It will make a perfect City car, looking forward to book the CX here.

The number of bookings expected looks like a bit optimistic considering the steep booking amount and the availability of 'Booking finance' which was there earlier on for cars like the Uno/Sumo/Indica when they were launched.

Excellent scoop as always sidindica.

SOme noteable points
1) different tyre sizes for F adn R
2) RWD -- hehaw...... drift baby drift. but with a engine i doubt it will barely pull.
3) tata has made every possible effort to cut costs. very evident from the feature list.
4) 10 lakh bookings means eventually the government needs to take a project of atleast 8 lane roads all over india. otherwise the traffic jams will mean the cars will always stay parked. ah. where do we park so many nano's .

Now a RWD hatch , a first in INDIA ? , ala mini porsche . The demand would be huge I can see , even can see grey market prices for early allotment and delivery .
