The new E 350 CGI is coming in second week of october and the new E 350 CDI in Jan-Feb.

Initially, only one variant-top of the line avantgarde with all the bells and whistles will be offered.

Hi Sidindica, Thanks for the information but what according to you is "all the bells and whistles" ? I mean are we talking of a car with Multicontour seats? Panorama roof? Lane change assist (useless in india) ; Active cruise control? Night Vision? stuff like that or are we just talking about loadings like Bi-Xenon's ; Full memory seats ; Phone intergation etc?

Do revert if you can, would be a nice move by MBIL if they atchually put in the goodies others dont have yet and believe me Dynamic multicontour seats with active ventilation is something to die for,

Don't know since I do not read any mags.

The new owners are relishing and raving about the build quality of new E. Amongst these are people who lost faith in the badge due to niggles that made owning a Merc nothing short of self inflicted trauma. The same people are now loyalist again. Even the lease companies and taxi drivers of Germany have hailed comeback of the E.

Though on styling front I think they have taken a complete new outlook for easier marketing and brand identity to make the end user feel that he is stepping in a new era of Merc manufacturing.

The features is all trickle to India will be the best gizmo car. I look forward to the reviews from our members. I wish the review beats the autocar magazines in India. Cheers!

rrsteer, Believe me while at this point I'm not going to google and find sources to prove "Sn1p3r" correct, but the new E class is a seriously well built car, I'm sure the electronics might have some initial issues like almost every other product in today's world but other systems like the COMAND, etc have been used very well in other models and the S class has been in the market for 4 years now and nothing major has been reported.

I'm telling you spending few minutes in this car made me want to get back to the luxury car buying in India, and for my family (Dad and me) we associate Luxury with only Mercedes-Benz!

Coming on 5th October 2009: E 350 avant garde non CGI with 3.5 V6 272 bhp

These E class cars are specifically designed for India packages. Baaki ka pitara baadme.

And why the non CGI? I mean in terms of engine refinement the non CGI V6 engine's are really lagging compared to the competetion.
