After driving around in Dads Spark it is certain I will never buy a car with a beige dashboard. The light reflection is very annoying apart from of course, the maintainance issue- its a real effort to keep it Sparking clean-actually nearly impossible.I really wonder if its an upgrade or a downgrade- reminds me of when I went to buy a TV - the idea of having a highly glossy edge all around the LCD pannel. Its light reflection is very disturbing. Could never come to terms to buy such a TV so had to chance to another brand. Unfortunately the 'new spark' does not offer an alterative.

Black or beige, either one is good with me. The only one interior shade I'm not a fan of is grey. Grey is so 80's.

Beige gets a thumbs down from me too. Too high on maintenance for my liking.

the results of this thread are weird everyone like beige but its only the maintainance problem and the effect after 5-7 yrs makes people chose black
i love beige no doubt , black is sporty luxurious and biege is more royal and luxurious

i think black suggests more of a self driven car but for chauffer driven biege can add a better feel
its just an opinion but beige or black one thing i like for sure is the artificial wood being a part of interiors like all the high end car like maybach ,rolls
i like the wooden dash of the rolls and i like it with beige(any shade)
just my opinion
there are cars with a combo of wood and black too

Hehe no, its the colour of beige that makes me dislike it. The lower maintainence for black is just a bonus.

Beige
Agree with all the bhpians about the difficulty of maintenance but still like Beige.

I see a problem with both (courtesy Indian driving conditions).

On black/dark grey interiors, individual dust/grit particles show up prominently on the dash/carpets, and the interiors have to be dusted often.

Beige interiors, on the other hand get grimy very quickly and have to be sponged often. Whattoooddooo?

I like having black interiors in a car, makes it feel/look more sporty and is also easier to maintain.

i dont mind both. but over a period of time, you might get bored of the seeing the samething and opt for a change. for now i like the beige interiors of i10.
but i do like the greyish black of my baleno also.

Beige on premium cars is ideal but it should be a darker shade, and there should be some black as well as in two tone. Beige carpets are riduculous.

Beige over black. It does makes the car looks good. Yes, it has to be maintained. but then, everything comes at a price.

I would prefer a combination of beige and black which would give better feel than a monotonous interior. The beige colour gives better looks and a feeling of spaciousness. On the other hand black colour at the touch points would help to keep interiors clean.

+1 to that. I wonder what happens to these cars during the monsoons. And with kids stomping on the rear seat.

Beige looks good when new. But I'd take black anyday (eg. Cedia Sports). Alas, the choices are limited and one is almost forced to end up with beige.

I feel that beige interiors need to be really good quality to pull off a good impression. If we are talking about cheaper plastics, built to a cost, etc., then black looks better then beige. Cheap beige interiors look really tacky, IMHO.

Regards,
Amit.
