Nice write up Sid.
You have made my feelings of purchasing a PALIO again even stronger once I am back home.
It is one car i enjoyed driving and felt very safe in even though we have a swift and ikon.

I share same thought as you. I miss my Palio 1.9D the most, even though I had an Elantra which replaced the Palio. Tough luck to get a good pre-owned piece now.

I thought I would share here that Fiat has decided to sell the Palios in stock at a discount. Limited stock of about 50 cars are available (only one 1.6).

The prices are between 2.5 lakhs (for 1.1 petrol) and 3.9 lakhs (for MJD). The cars come with a 4 year warranty (extended), free insurance, Fiats Roadside Assistance plan etc.

This might be the last chance for those of you wishing to own a Stile to pick one up.

Oh man 3.9 lakhs for the MJD is nice. The spare parts availability wouldnt be a problem since its the national engine but its the other parts that I am worried about. Tempted anyways though!

That is unbelievable - considering that I paid Rs. 4.95 lakh for my 1.2NV in 2005

Is this offer available at dealers or only with a particular dealer?

This is an offer from Fiat + Tata. They have sent a mail to their dealers. So I guess it is available at every dealer.

As per my information there is only one Sport 1.6 available in India. The car is in Minimal Grey.

Shouldn't that be Magnesium Grey? Minimal Grey is available only in Punto / Linea.

As per the mail received for the offers, it mentions Minimal Grey for the only 1 piece of 1.6 sports available! Check out at PUG, Sid!

They have introduced Punto colors for 2010 Palio models i guess like:

* Exotica Red
* Bossa Nova White
* Medium Grey
* Infinity Black

One Palio Multijet SDE (2008 make) comes to our (extended) family. My brother-in-law, having waited patiently for an out of turn Figo allotment for a month, wrote a cheque of Rs. 3,09,xxx for the Ozone blue beauty this evening.
