Fiat Punto/Linea sales are heading south, looks like nothing seems to be working well with Fiat
.
Fiat is selling to their manufacturing capacity, their April-10 domestic sale was 1800 and May-10 is 2163 thats increase in sale not decrease in sale.
However Honda' sale is going south they were able to sale only 4067 cars in MAy.

In May-09, Fiat was offering only Linea (and Palio). In May-10, they are offering Linea, Punto (and Palio). At this rate, the Fiat sales chart for June-10 onwards will surely show a downward trend (YoY).

Even with low-base effect its surprising to see indica numbers going down. Are all these cars getting Figo(u)red down?
Need to see numbers for Swift to see how much has been lost and gained between GM,Tata vs Ford,Maruti

Maruti sold more than 100000 cars last month!

Read the news today that Maruti sold more than a lakh (Yes! More than 100000 ) cars last month!! I guess that's a record. Don't know the exact figures and which all models contributed to it, but definitely, Swift, DZire and Alto will be the biggies.

Not to forget the New Wagon-R, & the exports. But, by no means it is a great achievement by any Indian car manufacturer. This is the reason why Suzuki India is bigger than Suzuki Worldwide & important for Suzuki Japan.

Can we have separate thread for May-10 sales figures & discussions. It already exists... Mods, please copy the May-10 data & discussions on that thread.

Note from Mod : May thread already out, thus this one is closed.
