3,121 units of its flagship sedan City, 533 premium sedan Civic, 173 units of the luxury Accord, 205 of the hatchback Jazz and 35 units of its sports utility vehicle CR-V

City has come down a bit. Else, it looks ok? 533 Civcs at 16L a piece with petrol is not that bad.

Very dismal figures for Honda, but they are themselves to blame for it,They have to get the pricing right, and to lose in a booming market like India is not a good sign for the future of Honda in India.

While 533 units of civic is a huge improvement compared to previous months, it looks quite dull compared to Cruze's 854 units. Corolla will report huge numbers, I guess.

Cruze is Diesel. Lowest end Cruze is cheaper than lowest end Civic by 80k, though the top end AT models are at the same price.

Sir,

NO doubt population of automobiles is increasing at an alraming rate. The biggest
worry is do we have enough roads to accomodate them ? Many years I has read
in magazine India has only 9 Lacs cars in the year 1982. It will be interesing to
to compare the growth viza viz population.

I cant believe that the Beat has sold just 2296 units! That is really low compared to the competition, especially the Figo.

Is this a typo or are there 2 Wagon-R variants?

I really wanted the Beat to be a huge success... sigh. Such a fantastic car and still the numbers are slow. Good numbers for the Cruze though, I'm happy that it's ahead of the Civic.

Figo: Ya, we all know - a hit, and a well deserved dan neat act from Ford.
Beat: Funky is not all that we buy in to, right?!! Hope GM comes with a conservative-yet-modern variant.
Maruti: Making best use of the more-than-a-decade's headstart!
Hyundai: Wake up! i10 is ageing, i20 wont keep you there for long! Where are the small Diesels?
Honda: Hmm.. As much as I love the OHC and the ANHC, gotta say - STOP SLEEPING!

Interesting to note that the Fiat numbers are back to the 2K levels, after the 1800 units last month. While the numbers are still low, selling 2K cars consistently till the end of this year and providing good service will ensure that Fiat can truly turn the corner.

Most importantly, they need to need updating their products (engine updates, interior updates etc.) to stay in contention. They already have the best selling engine in their stable, which is surely raking in some money.

I am surprised by the GM numbers. 8K is quite good.

Its not a very good looker, and Figo is ahead in terms of cabin space and features like blue tooth and the road handling. The sales figures are a true indication.
