IMHO, post Figo's success, they would concentrate more on high volume segments and less on SUV & pickups.
- Premium Hatch (Fiesta hatch)
- Budget Sedan (Figo sedan/ old gen Fiesta sedan)
- Entry Luxury Sedan (Latest gen Fiesta sedan)
- MUV (MUV on figo/fiesta platform)

What about the Taurus? The 2010 version really looks good and could compete well against the Superb.

Prem, sorry but I don't agree to your point.
Yea 1400 tata xenon has not been a hit, even the one from M&M Scropio Pik Up was a fiasco. But with a better pricing it could have been a hit.
Like say the numerous small sized pick-ups like ace and types.

I guess the Mondeo with the European origins would be a much better offering in the D segment than the Taurus. The latest mondeo facelift was unveiled today I guess - 2011 Ford Mondeo gets spiffed up — Autoblog
Very potent engines, if only Ford manages to keep the upkeep costs less unlike the last version of Mondeo that needed calls to Europe for anything and everything!

Well the guess are strong, going by what a birdie tells me. The fiesta hatch is not going to come :(. But that leave the gates open for lots of opportunity.

My guess are:
One car that I would expect to come is the Start concept car that made its entry in the Shanghai Auto Show. It had lots of good reviews. It comes with a 1L Ecoboost engine. Which is supposed to be great in terms of economy and power.

Also a Figo with 1.6 L engine with some features loaded in it and possibly with a Ecoboost engine again, should be a good contender.
The Fiesta sedan is one
Ford Everest
Ford Focus
Ford S-Max for MUV its already a hit in China.

One more news thats not reported here is that Figo's plans include to be exported to 50 markets. Thats a humongous target. Altogether great going Ford.

S-MAX is a van that should compete with the Innova, right?
Do they have a good engine to go with it?

My Wish is a Sport version of Figo with 1.6 P costing not more than 1.4 TDCi Titanium figo, with the 15 inch Fiesta 'S' alloys.

Yup, both are the same.
I think the SUV has to be specially made for india like the ikon/fiesta but based on an older truck platform.
But the 5 seater bit info from @himanshugoswami(hop i got the name right!)
makes me think it has to be a crossover from ford europe.
Be it a TRUE BLOOD SUV

Mpower yes it is, I am just guessing that since the Ranger is line for a complete revamp, they might just use the current one for the Scorp competitor.

Isn't the Fiesta sedan similar in size to the ANHC. So, most likely they should be bringing the Focus sedan to compete with Civic/corolla.

I also expect them to bring something like the Ford Escape to compete with Fortuner,CRV etc.

Yes, they have 2 or 3 tdci variants in the UK. I drove one from London to Leeds and back, and I think it was a 1.8 litre tdci.

It had fantastic grunt, both at the low rpms and the high ones. It was also real fun to drive and car-like in stability, and what I liked the most was that most of the controls matched my Fiesta, including the steering wheel, stalks, etc. However it had lots of extra gizmos and the interior quality was far better.

Here are a few pics:

S-max cant compete with the Innova, its smaller.I think falls in the "crossover" segment.Pity that there are no cars in this segment in india, save for the Eeco.

@vnabhi Nice pics, and that centre console/facia looks really good.Something out of the ordinary.

The all new Fiesta is the one to look out for. A 1.6 liter 120 bhp petrol and 1.6 liter diesel along with Ford's typical driving DNA and fantastic styling is a sure recipe for success. I just cant wait for it to happen.
