What is a good price to buy a 2004, Thane registered, black Honda Accord. 3.0 liter engine, automatic transmission? There are no extra fittings in the car. It has run 45000 kms. The exterior has minor scratches and dents. I would estimate that about 20k should get the car looking like new. Interiors are clean and well preserved. Car is currently second owner. I have to make an offer.

Thank you in advance.

Guys....in Bangalore what would be a fair price for a 2005 (July) Maruti Esteem Lxi, with about 55k on the odometer. The car is pretty well maintained and has a few additions like fog lights, air filter etc.

Please advise.

But Getz 1.3 aint sluggish. It does the job. Getz 1.1 is the one which is sluggish. But expect low mileage in 1.3 between 9-11 depending on your driving.

I have been getting between 12 and 13 with mine.
Great build of this car, cannot complain, but you should bargain for a better price.

Cant think of any figure unless you specify the year of manufacture of the car.

Not sure if you have driven the 1.3 Getz
I drove it last month over 500kms of city + highway driving and found it ABSOLUTELY SLUGGISH.
Overtaking was a major pain and even by switching off the a/c , things were really frustrating - so much so that i was slamming my hands on the steering out of sheer frustration through out the highway trips

the engine makes healthy power/torque in paper but i think the gearing is all messed up

Personally I found the ALTO 800CC FAR MORE CONVENIENT FOR OVERTAKING THAN THE GETZ 1.3

dont know about the GETZ 1.1 though but i cant imagine it would be any better than the 1.3

Hi, asking this for a friend of mine. He has found a 2005 jan accent viva crdi for 2.4 L. Car has few dents not too prominent and also does not have any ICE, not even a regular mp3 player. Other than that looks ok. Has done 43000 kms. Is this a good deal? And how is the accent viva crdi in general? Good car?

@confusedguy - the price for the Crdi is surprisingly low! Get the car checked for any problems and accident signs. The accent crdi was one of the best Accents ever sold!

I am planning to sell my 1999 Uno. Well maintained using original parts only, done 1.2L kms, almost new 5 tyres and battery, lifetax, fancy no. etc. What price can I expect in Kerala (Kollam)?

2.4l is quite low
i have seen 2005 GLE's go for around 3L+
please get the car checked thoroughly before taking the plunge

4.3 L or less should be a good buy. I am saying this cause there was a 2002 Accord for 3.2 L a month ago. 3.0 litre & AT are a bad combination for decent resale values.

Hii again

One of my friend is on a hunt since last 2 months for a used Baleno or OHC.2 days back he got a call from maruti that they have 2003 Lxi Baleno (Golden) for Sale for 2Lakh.car has done around 48k Km,no scratch nothing,it has cd player etc but tyres needs to be changed.owner of the the car is Maruti Dealer himself.and they'll be giving 3 free servicing.

Another option is 2005 Baleno(White).Done 45K Km single owner and his asking price is 2.3/2.2Lakh.

What do you guys say are these deals good should he opt for one the deal?if yes then which one? Will there be any problem with spare parts at the same time he will keep this car for 2 years will he face any problem selling it off again after 2 years?

thanks in advance :)

Bumping this message as I didn't get a response to it.

Palio 1.9D with ABS 2003 - quoted price 2.5 (carwale shows 1.9L)
Palio 1.6 sports 2007 - quoted 3.5 (without insurance and one crack it seems and it seems the guy has bought it from bank (may be defaulters car))

Read in the forum that Palio is great drivers car. Should I consider it or refrain.
Haggle Palio 1.6 sports for 2.5l?:)

Please give your opinions...

Narayan, I think something must be very wrong with the 1.3 Getz that you drove. I own one of those and I can say this with closed eyes that this car is too good for the high way ..... I can take it to 120 in some seconds and went upto 140 without the engine sounding harsh.
Overtaking is done with the twist of the fingers. The car you drove must be ill maintained or something else is terribly wrong. Please do not insult this performer by comparing it with Alto.
