i am speculating that it might be a road trip from Kanyakumari south tip to leh! in the north. i am pretty certain that they will include the himalaya in some way or the other. and may be in a secondary episode they will review the nano and the thar.

jeremy might make fun by fitting his entire bonnet with a range of horns to exaggerate the indian conditions.

Wow! Great news. I am really looking forward to this.

3 things that will happen:

1. It will be cracker of a show. A Christmas special is well, special.
2. They will use the Ambassador for a challenge. The BBC has a fixation over the Amby. Did anyone catch the documentary 'India on Wheels' With Justin Rowlatt on the Amby and Anita Rani on the hot Scorp?
3. Some childish politicians will make a hue and cry on some comment by JC.

I want them to do a long drive from Kanyakumari to Kashmir. Bring in their sports car's like Lamborghini Aventador , Mercedes SLS and Audi R8 / Porsche Turbo S. I want them to mock at our indian roads ( potholes and craters )so at least that might knock some sense into our politicians heads.

My guess is they will buy an Amby , Nano and a MM540 and travel around or maybe it has something to do with the Indian F1.

Secretly I am wishing that both of things happen , they take the cars and drive down to the Indian F1 GP, mann what a episode it will be!

The Bajaj rickshaw gave me nightmares about a car called the Reliant Robin. Bad memories!

And since I don't have any cousins in India, I shall be coming down myself. And don't expect me to wear any Indian attire! I'm fine in my race suit thanks :P

And on a serious note: Please please I hope no one gets offended if any remarks made about Indians and their ways. Because that would be just sad. Top Gear is a a lighthearted show and is meant to be taken lightheartedly

I was just watching some old vids of Clarksons' Motorworld on Youtube. That guy with Clarkson in an old Mahindra looked very similar to Hormazd. Thought why not to Google it and find? And, luckily from Google stumbled upon this thread!

Pardon my ignorance, but on a mobile phone it took me some good time and effort to identify the guy.

I guess if we predict the Nano, Amby, Himalayas, F1, Indian Pothole filled Roads, Cows on Indian roads, and Drive Safety in India. We can be almost sure that 3 of these will make it to the show.

We can also be almost sure that some Indian Politician and a lot of Indias (not automobile enthusiasts who are well aware of the TG ways) will take offence to something that they will say on the show.

I am not very sure they will use an amby this time. BBC has just finished a series on ambassador and Mahindra Bolero(I think) doing complete tour on the eastern and western coast of India. The program was called "India on wheels" i guess and was meant to be telecast on BBC UK in the month of September. With Jeremy, May and Hammond around, I only expect to see loads of chaos, buffaloes and controversies happening ! Only good thing is they end their specials on a positive note!! As for me, I only hope it does not take up the ego route with politicians, NGO's, and wake up sleeping patriots!
