New Skoda YETI concept - anyone interested?

This is how the next generation of Yeti is expected to look.To me it is looking bigger and that is because increase in length by 30 cm, maybe will have third row seats also.I like it,what do you all say? Maybe Skoda will launch it at the auto-show at Delhi January next year.thanks to Autobid for the pic.

I love the front Mission L - Concept looks .
The only awful is the front stance of current model.
Definitely i'll buy, if it comes to India with 13-15 Ex-Showrrom for 4x4.

Hmmm looks more butch and wider as well, plus the Mission L headlamp cluster lends a mean look to the car. I surely like what I see!!!!!!

This definitely looks mean, but why are the fogs so big? And they look hideous and out of place!! But this sure looks bigger than the current one!

re: New Skoda YETI concept - anyone interested?

The Mission L concept front has sure caught on and how! Loved the way the front looks. Especially the grill. From the back, it looks like Skoda has gotten rid of the "boxy" feel that Yeti had. Would an increase by 30 cm be good enough for the thrid row seats?

@Anil: The Yeti fogs have always been that big. Even on the current gen Yeti, the fogs are slightly bigger than what you would expect to see on a car that size.

This looks more like a BMW than a Skoda!!! looks much better than current one and bigger too.

I do not like Yeti because they cannot price it under 10L OTR here!!

That's the only semblance left of the Yeti, IMO. The current Yeti is boxy, a bit mail van like. This one looks more Q'ish with Vision D/Mission L styling . Looking at the side profile, I don't think it has a third row. It's a X-over at best.

The Mission L headlamp and grill cluster looks so striking. I have always loved the looks of the Yeti, and this one takes the point even further. The fog lamps are a huge attention grabber. The car looks big, much in the league of the older CR-V and Grand Vitara. The car looks bigger and much much better. The front end is just awesome !!

Indeed, but with changed HLs the fogs are like a sore thumb. In current one they just flow with the design, but in current design they are like yuck, no?

Much much better then the current avatar. But I still feel that the market for these mini SUVs has not matured enough in India yet where people are either limiting them selves to the 10-12L segment or going all guns blazing for that 20L SUV. The segment in between is still to take off. Skoda would do better to price the car a little more appropriately with may be the Top end coming at 15-16L OTR and it would be a steal.

re: New Skoda YETI concept - anyone interested?

Looks butch but it reminds me of of RR Evoque. Especially the headlamp cluster, the fog lamps seems to be better integrated in this version compared to the current one. It's probably because of the positioning of the headlamp and the fog lamps.

This seems to be a slightly reworked VW Tiguan. Both Tiguan and Yeti are based on the same platform (PQ35)

re: New Skoda YETI concept - anyone interested?

IMO the success of the present Yeti is due to its proportion and simplicity which gives it a distinct character to it. This new version just dilutes its image and does not look wee bit Yeti anymore except for those round lamps. Skoda has built a nice fan following for the Yeti and this would just dilute its image.

Also any more stretching of the vehicle will mar its compact form and will make it another urban SUV. In our country it will not make a big impact any way since the prices for a bigger vehicle will go only north due to Skoda's premium pricing (way above its value). Else the Yeti would have sold in hoardes by now.
