Ford has has announced officially the resurrected off-roader in two-door and four-door configurations is on the production lines at the Michigan Assembly Plant. Ford says Bronco examples are now on the way to the brand’s dealerships across the United States.

First, in November last year, the Blue oval had to delay the start of the production due to COVID-19 related problems with overseas supplier Webasto connected to the Bronco's removable top. A few months later, in May, the global chip shortage forced Ford to announce another delay but now, the new Bronco is finally on the assembly lines.

Early Ford Bronco Owners Reporting Roof Problems:

Ford will have to deal with new problems, this time coming from the production quality of the 2021 Bronco.

problems with the roof of the off-road machine which may start to show a honeycomb or snakeskin-like pattern on the surface. The first reports from owners suggest this is strictly visual as the texture seems to be fine when you touch it.

Other users are reporting problems with the headliner which is separating from the roof panel. Also, the raw edges could fade and create small cavities from material loss. Uneven gaps are also visible in some

Ford built a custom Bronco with a beach theme called Riptide, for a “West Coast lifestyle.”

Ford has revealed a custom-built Bronco to show how customers can use factory- and dealer-installed options to personalize their off-roader.

The Riptide features an LED light bar, mirror-mounted off-road lights, a Bestop mesh top, and prototype mounts to attach the two Almond surfboards overhead.





The Riptide is based on a four-door Bronco with the Sasquatch package and the optional EcoBoost 2.7-liter V-6.

2022 Ford Bronco sdds new colors: Deep Green, Orange, and Hot-Pepper Red.

Ford announced that it will make the Bronco available in three new color choices for 2022, while retiring others from the 2021 list.

One of them is Eruption Green, a deep forest green shade inspired by the 1970s Bronco's Mallard Green color.

As reported by the Detriot Free Press, Ford has paused upon taking fresh reservations (bookings) for the Bronco due to the hardtop's roof isssues. They have 125,000 pending orders with each prospective customer having paid $ 100 (refundable) to reserve the Bronco, which translates to a six month waiting period. The hardtop roof issue is being rectified and reservations will be most likely resumed come October 2021. Ford has delivered 3,200 Broncos in July and plans to replace every hardtop's roof come October. The microchip shortage does not figure anywhere in the Bronco news, nor does the high cost of container charges rising from $ 2,400 to $ 20,000 freight for each one, from China to USA, which most US automakers are finding tough to navigate through !

Ford suggested that would-be Bronco buyers have the possibility of securing an incoming softtop model if someone else cancels an existing order. That's because the softtop model is not affected by the supplier quality issue plaguing the two- and four-door hardtop models. A customer could also change their own spec. For instance, they could forgo the Sasquatch package and wait to add the beefier tires later if they are set on getting into a Bronco earlier.

But House said lots of customers are already calling Varsity Ford and trying to switch their build to speed up the process. Unfortunately, there's nothing coming in. Every Bronco Varsity has received has gone straight to the customer who ordered it, according to House.

Production of the 2022 Bronco will begin in December. For 2022, changes include new colors, including Eruption Green, and the addition of manual-equipped models with the off-road-focused Sasquatch package. Ford is aiming to begin replacing every hardtop model's roof in October.

These new arches will also allow Ford to equip the vehicle with larger 37-inch off-road tires.

The Bronco Raptor will ditch the current 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 of the standard ‘range-topping’ model and instead use Ford’s 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged EcoBoost, the same engine as the Ford F-150 Raptor and likely producing the same 450 hp and 510 lb-ft (691 Nm) of torque.
