What really worries me is that the 7-Series sets a design language that the 5-Series follows to a large extent and the 3 to a smaller.

Yuck. Hope they don't ruin their more mainstream models.

This design reminds me so much of the Batmobile from the 80s animated series. The slim lights at the top and of course the giant grill. Have to say, the Batmobile was far better looking

I started with Whaaaaaat?? but by the time I had scrolled down and read through 5 pages of "Whaaaaaat??" the front started to grow on me.

It is different, but I won't say its bad. I think I might just say "Whaaaaaat ?? that's actually quite nice!!"

And if that wasn't enough the split headlamp design clue is taking it down a few notches.

Saw this render by a random Instagram page . IMO looks much more appealing to the eye than the actual car. If regular people can make such designs I feel BMW designers could have done a better job. On a side note this render takes cues from the big daddy of BMW group, dare I say a baby Phantom.

When the scoop pics of the test mules were out, i thought the design would be a modern interpretation of the 80s shark nose design. they ruined it with that DRL eyebrow.

Just blacken the DRL, lighten up the headlights, good to go.

I think the only customers for this new BMW would be mafia leaders, drug lords, crime families and other wanted individuals.
With such a disgusting design, even the cops wouldn't be able to glance at such a contraption, let alone the passengers inside.

Two years on, now that most of us have had the opportunity to see the car on the road and get used to it. What are your thoughts on the 7's design today?

Personally the car has grown a lot on me, and I'm actually beginning to almost appreciate it.
