Congrats Hyundai now it looks like a pukka Korean car.
people this is how a car from Hyundai will look if it doesn't try hard lifting design ques from other successful company's.
Looks like a cheapo Chinese car to me.

Grilles Making Faces

Slightly off topic,but read on

Barring the i10 ,i20(sealed lips) and Accent(normal grille) all Hyundais have had horrible looking grilles - rodent type(old Santro,Sonata, new Verna) or smooch type(Santro Xing,Elantra)

The Esteem 1997-2000 new shape had a toothless grille

what the hell!!! Horrible front-end! They made an already bad looking car Ugly & Hideous!!!

Looks like Hyundai has outsourced its design work to DC.

Note from the Team-BHP Support Team : Please take the time to use proper punctuation as per Team-BHP rules. Avoid...typing...like...this. Thanks.

One word - HIDEOUS. That is my impression of the front.

But they did copy!

The bottom portion of the front end is totally a ford fiesta!!!!

The top portion is partly an altis.

What I fail to understand is - Some 99% of the respondendts here said grill looks horrible. Why couldn't the Hyundai guys take this feedback internally and work on it

I suppose we could assign the same logic to the boffins at M&M who gave the go-ahead for the Xylo's front end design. If only they had taken some internal opinion, or is it that no one has the guts to blow the whistle?

Coming back to new verna, well, Hyundai designers Im guessing were on pot when they finalized this face lift. This one needs to go into youtube with the name- 'surgeries gone bad'!!!

I truly wonder what the Hyundai designers were thinking when they embarked on the mission to redesign the car!

Aarrghh!!! Makes me remember the old Hyundai Santro design.
So ugly!!!! The existing Verna looks even better.
Seems Hyundai just cannot design any good looking grills!!

Looks are subjective but I am sure many will have this opinion.

EDIT:

Doesnt look like too transformed to me. If it has transformed, it is for the worse. Just looks like the current Verna with a hideous bodykit. But with that diesel engine it runs, who cares about looks?
