Looks like they added some Genesis genes to it. Looks better than the current Verna from some angles.

only its mother could love this car!
While the current verna look okay this one is horrendous. I just dont agree with the double lip inlay on the front intake, what the hell is this?

Current version does look good now

Way to go Sid....

I am not sure what they are upto, however would still prefer the current version available. Now it looks to be a desperate attempt to match a front with the existing Verna middle portion.

Looks like a cheap chinese copy of existing Verna

Exhaust does look good

Why does it appear that they trying to match Altis front? I may be wrong though.

Looks even worse. Like someone said - a cheap chinese copy of Verna.

The white one's?

Looks more aggressive. Some design idea from Fiesta.

No change in engine specs/suspension?

Its looks like a cross between a mini-Godzilla and the existing Verna. That front-end is so "asian". If I have to use that word.

The only way this design can be described is "quirky or oddball", definitely not elegant or stylish. Ahhh!

(I hate that grill)

Nice but no rear pics? I hope all the work isn't just done on the front.

It needs to stay at the 9L price range to compete with city, anything higher and city has it beat, and altis/civic would make more sense then.

But then the question arises, city/altis/civic are all petrol, verna is diesel, so it makes its own way into that price bracket.

Edit,

Is transform another word for Hyundai to just copy?
Sonata transform - We know how it resembles all of its competition
Verna transform - Altis front end

Infractions: 0/2 (8)

looks like a mutated version - seems to have some cues from the sonata transform and some from the earlier elantra
either way i think the present version looks more elegant than this - it is trying too hard to look aggressive and somewhere not quite happening.

Holy moly!

This logs like a frog with its tongue waiting to kill the prey. I seriously loved the first generation Verna. To me this "Transform" is from Humanity to "Species"

OT: I would love to drive a Verna Hatch though.

Horrible looking grill! The bumper effort seems to be good, but overall, it makes the current version of the Verna look handsome.

Absolutely ridiculous update. The grille is too small ( narrow in width ) to take that type of fins. The bumpers are good, but then overall the design does not gel well with the shape of the car. And the headlights that were quite good looking have gone worse.
The matter is this:
1) Hyundai designers lost contact with rest of the car's shape.
2) They are trying to give aggressive look to car, which is itself against the car's design.
3) On one hand they have aggressive bumpers and on the other hand they are putting in soft headlamps.
4) This machine is lost in jungle of competition. Absolutely rubbish design.
