Wow, that is an absolute beauty from Suzuki. Front grill seems to be Audi "inspired" though.

Nice looking car. The front overhang will dictate a higher ground clearance for Indian car. The wheels will also be smaller. But still the car will manage to look, the body is quite well designed, something nobody expected from Suzuki.

1) The front end is quite good looking. The grille and headlamps give very good look to this car. The grille is not a copy of Audi IMHO.

2) The rear door looks like a bit Dzire-ish to me. The wheelbase looks reasonable and stability must be good.

3) It all boils down to engines. The J24 from Vitara is basically a larger version of Suzuki J enigne, the J20. Might just do the duty. However Suzuki can also come up with the J20 motor with VVT that would give around 140 horses.

About diesels, it was rumored that Suzuki was developing its own 2 ltr. common rail diesel. If its true, this can must be having this diesel.

A perfect range of powerplants for this car, specially the diesel.

The Cruze has a different roof line, sort of semi circle which is completely different from this car.

Pictures numbers 1 and 2 are separate models. Other than the alloys, the positioning of the indicator is different, as also the lower front grill.
But hell yeah, fantastic looking car from Suzuki! Im guessing a 2010 India launch.

To me it looks like a grown up Fiesta S. The SX4 influence is there on the headlamps.

Looks sweet. However it looks like a Vollswagen Golf GTI from the front.
Thumbs up for this one from Suzuki.

Inspired from the GTI.Couldnt agree more

This would look smashing in black.

Hope they keep it priced around 13-14L(knowing how aggressive Maruti is)

Not as pointy at the concept, but sure looks awesome! has loads of presence. This will do great if Maruti prices it between the Transform and Accord!! Though these lovely rims won't come for sure...

To me the front looks part-SX4 and part-Grand Vitara ish, i.e. the headlamps and grille respectively.

True, I felt the same.Does have the lines of a couple of cars in the market. We'd have to see how the interiors look.

I am impressed by Kizashi. Suzuki has put in a lot of effort it seems, I never thought that Suzuki can come up with a product that can manage to create a small stir.
As expected the motor is 2.4 which I suppose is the J24. However Suzuki claims that the output is " more potent than competitive best sellers ". It remains to be see if they can come up with around 180-190 bhp version as Honda Accord in US is sold with the 2.4 in two different state of tune IIRC.

Six speed manual will be good enough to utilize the power available. CVT is also an option with paddle shifters. Suzuki claims that Kizashi meets 2014 side impact pole tests, I am eagerly waiting for EuroNCAP results ( if this car is sold in Europe ). The wheelbase is smaller than Camry/Accord.

I am slightly disappointed by the lack of diesel in the range. The question about its success in India does come to mind because Suzuki is seen as a brand good enough for producing cars under Rs. 10 lakh. I dont know if this car can get success or not in India.

EDIT : This car was to be unveiled in November or december. Nice to see it come early. Suzuki has, IMHO, got more matured.

y does most of suzuki's cars nowadays looks like the swift.
this one also looks like a Ritz/Swift from the front.
again pricing i think this probably will not do so well in india. Because they will price it @ the Range of the GV which also is not doing so well.
our markets are not ready to accept Maruti Suzuki as a luxury brand any time now.

Nice interiors, but too much VW in there for me to digest.sorry!.And if you look closely at the pic of the gear-lever posted by abhiram, the plastics suck and so does the finishing(though these might be pre-production examples)
