Amitabh Bacchan was often seen in one back in the day. Infact Pune has a survivor, a Station wagon infact. Immaculate in maroon, it bears a 73/4 regn number 15. Heres a similar car.

That's a heavily customised 50/51 Buick, and hence is technically not fit for this thread. Love the car though

Awesome Karlos! It is a 1950 Buick Sedanette. Sorry, I didn't know modified ones are not allowed on this thread.

ID:380 is a 1971 Toyota Corolla KE20.

Just checking to see how quickly our super-specialist doctors would identify the common cold.

Since its 1966 (first gen.) introduction, more instances of Toyota Corolla have sold worldwide than any other make & model !

The KE2x was launched in Japan in 1969 and worldwide the next year: 1970. It debuted as a 1971 model in the US market.

American designers introduced the waist to provide a visual break in the incredible slabsided lengths that their cars had. The Japanese promptly picked it up as a fashion trend. The Toyota KE2x Corolla, even though it was so dimunitive (2,334 mm wheelbase) had a bit of a dip to pay homage to the waist trend.

The sedans two and four-door were called Corolla KE20. They were even rallied back then.

The two-door coupe was called Corolla KE25 and the three-door estate was called Corolla KE26. It's not the same as the early KE1x wagon in Karl's post#1743.

The Corolla became the second-best selling car in the world that year.

It was an incredibly reliable car, with a soft and decent ride.

It had a 1,166 cc engine that put out 63 bhp @ 6,000 rpm and 95 Nm torque @ 4,200 rpm, breathing through a downdraught 2-bbl carburettor.
Like a Qualis, the gearshift had a very long throws but a nice silky action.

It was a rear-wheel drive and a good car to drift in. The front suspension incorporated a swaybar.

From 1971 onwards until replacement by the 3rd gen Corolla in 1974, the US market got a 1,588 cc 102 bhp engine. That formed the Corolla TE21 two-door and Corolla TE25 station wagon. In 1973 came a hardtop coupe called the Corolla SR-5 TE27. This was called Toyota Levin in Japan.

Ain't it droolmaal for me and you?

Karl, the red station wagon is a 1st generation 1969 Toyota Corolla KE1x (1966-1971), not a KE2x (1971-1974).

It had a 1,077 cc engine that output 60 bhp @ 6000 rpm.

Here is a specimen (1968 two door KE10 sedan) in a Danish museum.

No @AMATMO.
Neither the 1st gen (1966-1971) Toyota Corolla,
nor the 2nd gen (1971-1974) Toyota Corolla has been posted.

It is a 3rd gen (1973–1978) Datsun Sunny a.k.a. Datsun Honeybee 120Y and Datsun B-210.

The thread you're alluding to is:
