So finally the suspense is over. Alonso made the logical decision to re-join Renault. In all probability, Alonso has a contract that makes him the No.1 driver, no questions asked. But, Piquet is quick as well, so that would make it interesting.

Where does this leave Heikki? As it is, Spanish sponsors are lobbying to get De la Rosa into the Mclaren race seat. It would be a pity if he has to sit out as he was the most improved driver during the second half of the season.

It will be nice to see how Renault responds to MacLaren and Ferrari dominance and wish to see Nelson Piquet Junior (the other Renault driver and son of legendary Nelson Piquet) get the better of sissy Alonso

(Sorry Alonso fans, somehow Alonso always proves to be cribbity).

Apparently, Piquet Junior was runners up to Lewis in the GPS2 discpline (if i aint wrong)...

Not surprised! But I really look forward to March 2008. Fonso in a Renault, Hamilton in a Mac and Raiko in a Ferrari. Absolute fireworks, wot?

How come they choose Piquet Junior though?

Maybe because Renault thought that Heikki Kovalainen would have posed too big a threat to the crucial new number one status of the returning Fernando Alonso, which Nelson Jr. has no problem with.
