Maybe Mallya can put him Spyker. Here is a small dialogue between Mallya and Alonso.

FA: Mr Mallya, I see you have a vacant seat in Spyker. I am interested .

VM: Yes I do.

FA: So would you like 2 time Champion to join your team?

VM : Pehle tu jaake Ferrari pe SPY KAR aur phir aake join kar

Hahahahahhaha everyone single post on this thread has the same avatar

As for Alonso, well it was expected so no surprises there as such. What'll be fun to watch is whether any top team other than Renault is really interested in him.

It is naive to think no one will hire, however badly he may have behaved but he is still a very very good racing driver.

Toyota,Williams,Redbull and Renault are the options, the latter being the strongest. But there are reports that tell he wants to join Ferrari maybe after a year or two, dont see it happening.

As to who will drive at Mclaren,i expect to see Heki there.

Yup. Behavioural issues aside, he is a winner so I doubt if there will be a dearth of takers.

Will most likely go back to Renault, but they are no longer the force they were.

You never know about F1,but yes Renault are as far back as a top team can slide, much worse than what Ferrari was in 05 or Mclaren was in 06.

The problem for Alonso though is that,if he dosent go to a winning team or if he dosent develop a winning team around him,he will remain a has been 2xWorld Champion who whined alot. That will be a big fall from grace for the youngest World Champion.

if you look into the histoy all the past greats like senna, post, mansell, piquet, lauda, micheal etc were sore losers....alonso is not a manufactured driver like hamilton or the rest of the new breed....u need to be b*&@#$d and pain in the A#$ to be a champion..not my declaration...F.williams said this in the past...

exactly the reason I thought he would patch up and stay on with Mclaren. But the chasm was too deep to cross. i wont be too surprised if he joins Redbull. They are coming up quite well and seem to be a little better than Renault now.
