Am actually surprised with the event being so near and no event promotion, marketings/ad/website coming up yet.

There were lots of adverts/hoardings i saw in the past 2 days! For instance, there is one at JW Marriot which says, "Welcome David Coulthard!"

The best pace to view it in Bandra would be the Bandra Fort...One can see it as well as hear it from there. But I'd rather to the terrace of my college(which is adjacent to Taj Lands End) to get a full view of the action
Very excited!

We could have lunch and then proceed towards BWSL. What say? Time for a meet thread?

7seconds..?? DId they say that. That Worli Sea link is not at all that flat to have a F1 car on it at over 200kph.
This is a big mistake. Disaster waiting to happen.
That car that low and roads that uneven hmmmmm. Good Luck DC. BArriers WILL have to be really really strong.
Iam sure they'll get a chance to do a test run.
100% not possible in 7 secs.

Yes, I'm sure they've not done their homework and their calculations before even thinking of doing this. Perhaps they should've appointed you as their engineer.

im sure they can do the bandra side turn at 260kmph easily and then accelerate to over 320kmph on the straight so i think 7 seconds might be possible.

Hi, I think Danlalan is right, even at a constant 200 mph, you can only cover ~620 meters in 7 seconds. To cover a kilometer in 7 seconds, you'd need to be doing approximately 320 mph !

Could it be that RedBull is planning to bring along one of their racing airplanes ?
