2010 F1 Monaco - Monte Carlo

Situated in the mediterrenian sea, regarded as one of the Best F1 Circuits in the world.

A street circuit, makes overtaking a bit difficult.

Michael Schumacher has the lap record at that circuit in 2004.

Hi,

Greetings of the day!

After answering the critics on track yesterday MS will show some more at Monaco. Mercedes really want increase the pace to catch Redbull by tail.

Best of Luck MS and Merc

Cheers!

dont think anyone will be catching the red bulls for the next 3-4 races..
monaco is always an exception though..

Ferrari & Mclaren need some serious development

The Bulls were not the fastest cars in terms of sheer engine speed, but the car is so good aerodynamically that it was a class act in Spain.

Monaco is not at all about straight line speed but all about aero and balance which the Bull has in plenty, the only let down for them will be if Webbo and Vetel decide to get too friendly with the barriers.

The challengers to the Bulls would be the Mclarens more than the MGPs, they've always had a better balanced and sorted car for Monaco, i am hoping Alonso will be in his points collection mode again.

Ha ha ... rightly said.

A track where overtaking is almost impossible, it needs to be seen, who qualifies better in the Qualifiers.

Yeah, Michael did it in the 1:14.xxx in 2004 to achieve the fastest lap time on Monaco which to be honest was not very surprising at the time, but whats surprising to me was to find out recently that Ayrton Senna did the slowest ever lap at Monaco back in 1984. I did not see that coming.

Monaco is actually all about mechanical grip.
Aero efficiency plays a very small role here due to the lack of high speed corners.. so teams just pile on the aero bits hoping for a lot more downforce

Expect the Redbulls to be glued on the track with their current downforce levels.

But, both Vettel(?) & Webber never had a good show at Monaco! It will all be down to the drivers.

The driver who can be tight nerved on Sunday will runaway with the win. I am expecting more SC situations as well this time! Some rain should make things more interesting during a usually boring Monaco weekend.

At Monte carlo, there is no point in having a fast car.

We can expect slower cars to get better results here.

There are handful of drivers who have huge experience driving on this track

1) Michael Schumacher -- Veteran, also has the unbeaten record for the fastest on this track. Has won many a times here. Knows the circuit like the back of his hand.

2) Alonso -- Not a new track for him, can be considered a veteran when it comes to this track

3) Massa -- With Schumi, he's done wonders on this track many a times.

You cannot rule others out, since this year its a different ball game all together.

One more day and we get to the Thursdays qualifying.

and then there's Lewis Hamilton who claims its his favorite track. Plus its almost like a home grand prix for Jenson Button who won here last year, so i doubt he'd want to settle for any less than a victory either.

But looking at the cars so far this season Red Bull seems to be a strong contender for a high downforce circuit like this.

All that money everyone spent on the F-ducts will mostly be useless at Monaco. Talk about getting f-ducted!

all hell is going to break loose

not to mention chaotic Q1 with 24 cars on track.

I agree ...
it would be really chaotic with 24 cars on the starting grid.
I would predict safety car to come into the picture right at the begining itself; till first few laps. ;-)
Though, I pray we wont see many mishaps in the race.

I would go with my TOP 5 for this race :
1) Alonso
2) Schumi
3) Hamilton
4) Button
5) Massa

Man! Chandok should have just waited rather than spending time here without even getting an opportunity to drive!
