guys well for one thing we all agreed toyota is the company of the future .. it will be the no. 1 auto manufacturer in the world by the end of this year( currently no.2 ) .. these stats are based on the car sales. but the real picture is even bigger. as of now toyota can buy general motors IN CASH .. the detroit 3 are now no where close to toyota. today an american car requires 3 yrs of research.. toyota takes just 2. it uses the now famous principle called Just In Time .. how they devised is a cute little story .... but i'll keep that for another day:

I am not sure how fast they are goping to become the No.1 , but it has become the first Trillion yen company in Japan. They are serious about India next to China. Soon Lexus will also on Indian roads (official Import)

i dunno how serious they are... .. they actually built up their name in india bu their qualis... not something very impressive at all its only after that they introduced camry and corolla .. also its a wonder why they havent introduced the lexus or other suv.. till now...

qualis has a waiting period of two months , except for few models. surely they have made their name for reliabilty and quality with Qualis. Corolla and Camry are well known (globally) but this match box !

Tavera is sure to eat Qualis Market for atleats few months . But this happens in Delhi /Mumbai/Pune and few central parts of India .These parts of our country are wellknown for catalouge sales . And here people dont mind about what is there in a new product. Just buy as it is new. So this is not a bad thing , infact it is a good thing for customers. For example after the Versa was launched, i couldnt see a single one in Bangalore . But i was very much surprised to see lot of them in Delhi and Mumbai.

So the same thing will happen, there will always a initial crush and then you can see the reality .!!!
But it is sure that Qualis will loose it market share in Market share in Taxi segment ! but i dont think that the 1.5 K warranty is that attractive as Qualis goes on trouble free more than 250,000 kms !

you sure know alot about toyotas my dad just got a toyota tocoma it is awsome and rides great but i was wondering he heard from friends and family that toyota was the best way to go they are good quility and last forever i just wanted to know if that was true

yes its true what you heard. Toyotas are quite reliable and non-fussy vehicles that can log in several thousand miles without hiccup. But two things stand against Toyota. One is its image. Two, the lack of exciting cars in its range. Toyota off-late has tried to address the two issues with the Scion which has a funkier image while the exciting cars part is still to be covered. Considering Toyota and its onslaught on the detroit 3 to be the largest manufacturer and seller in the world, it'll cover that part sooner than later.
