Good report on a good car. I have always had a liking towards Lancer and I like the Cedia too. Enjoy your drive and have fun.

BTW, how is the ground clearance of Cedia? Does it kiss the humps when fully laden?

^^Never had an issue with gc and it has never scraped the ground anywhere. I think the gc is 175mm. Ofcourse I've never tried with 4 passengers. I live alone and most of the times the only person inside the car is me .

How come all mitsubishi owners have something against honda cars?

better go for sports and spruce up the interiors. Its cheaper. Plus you wont miss out on smoked front lamps and sports rear lamps.

Nice Car and equally well-written Review!

Mileage of 11kmpl @ City with 100% AC is really great, also the high Torque is a real boon for City driving.

Keep rocking on your Cedia!

Excellent review there reign.

Can you elaborate what plans you have with the car with respect to mods.

ROC, nice write-up, dude. I really liked the way you put forward all the details.

The car in this colour really looks good. Somehow, the look from the front could be better, IMO.

I had nothing against the civic really. Its a really really nice car. Its just that the car is so overpriced in India that made me shy away from it.

Probably an ECU remap and the usual fare... K&N+FFE. When I actually have cash, might think of an engine swap to 4G63. But thats not gonna happen soon .

Great report, RoC.

Especially glad to see you're enjoying the car. Lovely FE figures, too!

Reignofchaos, excellent review. very detailed and you have highlighted the lows as well which are very few.

Yes the Lathangi service is miles ahead of Southern motors. Can you believe that the assistant service manager along with the regional service manager came to my office to get a personal feedback and resolve any issues of my boss's cedia. Even he is enjoying every bit of the car.

The red looks awesome. At 160kph teh engine is lazily at 4000odd rpm. sweet car to drive.

FE from a 2L engine is very good. Similar to my boss's car.

Regarding the internal lighting even I cant understand why HM removed the front map lamps which are there on the older lancer. funny.

Enjoy your car.

cheers.

Wow! That's a beautifully written ownership report. It makes me began to love the Cedia. But how I wish there would be an A/T option. The FE figures are great! Oh boy it relaxes at 4,000 rpm @ 160 km/h.. Woohooo! Take care of it.

And oh my goodness.. I'm so crazy and in need of A/T & Cruise Control but none of the cars below the Skoda A/T's satisfy me!

but theres no fun in a.t is there? i think mitsubishi wanted to position it more as a sporty car than a luxury car.

But didn't Mitsubishi offer the first triptronic a/t model on the Lancer? It was called Invex I think. Triptronic a/t's are like manuals.

yeah.. but that was a 4 speed. but i dont find those as good as manuals. drove an audi a6 with 7 speed tiptronic. its irritating. if u accelarate even a bit itll downshift and if you touch the redline itll upshift. all this in tiptronic mode. now if that was manual it would have been much more fun.

bu a/t does reduce the stress of driving in traffic alot.
