Rudra,

A brilliant and simple review. All points addressed beautifully. I was waiting for your long term review. Every line shows how much you love that car. One of the best Optra examples seen anywhere. In the condition that it is, you can forget parting with it for a long time.

I really dont have anything to say about your pictures. You are a class apart and I dont except anything less in quality than these.

I like the Apple sticker on the rear. Can I have one please?

Rudra sir, that is the most beautiful Optra i have seen. The bulge on the bonnet is nicely accentuated in the photos, and as usual the photos are marvellous! I remember listening to ICE seup in your car, it sounded great, I would like to go for something like it in my car

she is a matured one!

Aha finally its out! She is one of the best maintained and cared car i have come across.

This doesnt mean that old man babies her around, he is quite generous with the right pedal and one should watch the grinnnnnn! on his face after he does couple of 160 and 170 clicks.

As for the car, she is a very good handler with the current set of tires, though slightly choppy compared to the stock. Current set up is made for high speed ride and handling, she will be a sweet compromise with the higher side profile tires in the future.

This aint your screamer with short burst of passion rather a torque bomb which likes to ride hard and long, ensuring complete satisfaction in the highway, hills and city.

Rudra i think we can sacrifice this set of tires at MMSC track, once you pick the new set, what say?

EDIT: PS IIRC she returns 17-18 kmpl on a highway on "drive as you wish" mode.

Beauty

Great pictures. I guess your photo's went through some photo editing work. Background in the 2nd and 4th picture are changed i guess.

whatever might be she is dazzling. Well maintained car. May be you should share your experince on how to maintain the cars. It doesnt look like a 5 Yr old car.

OT: Should the title be something like "Korean idea, bought by Americans, built by Indian and powered by Autralians"

Started loving optra

Hi Rudra, Those are one of the most beautiful pictures i've ever seen. Hats off to you. may be i should invite you to do a photo shoot of my car. I started to love Optra now. I am currently looking changing my hatch to a sedan, your pictures is forcing me to look at Optra as an option. I think even Chevy ad campaign will not have such great pictures. Kudos to you.

Rudra, thanks a lot for the review. There are not many long-term reviews of Optra in TBHP. As I have been researching on Optra for few weeks, this one came as mannah from Heaven

There was always talks about 1.8 being thirsty. Plug that with 1220Kgs and short gearing, these figures seem amazing!!. Do you think 1.6 to do even better?
