The other option is going for a new 530i for 57 OTR with a basic 5yr/60k BSI and 2+2 yr warranty included.

So the conundrum is now between:...
Good choice

Given the fact that you do not have any GC issues and the adaptive LEDs do not make much difference, the 530i makes more sense.

+1 to Axe77. Considering the 1L for the 2+2 year warranty, the price difference between the new and demo car is 2.75L. When you are spending this big money on a car, I would suggest you do not take the risk of a demo car. Get the new car and have peace of mind.

See if you can further sweeten the deal by either a 5/60 BSI+ or a 6 year extended warranty

Re: 50-lakh budget. BMW 3GT or something else?

After reading your opening post, I was going to recommend the 5-Series, then scrolled down and saw that you've decided on it. Good choice. Buying a higher segment car is more pleasurable over the longer term; plus, if you keep it for longer than you would a lower segment car, it could work out cheaper too (changing cars costs a lot of money).

Go for the new car. Avoid the demo. When you're spending big money, don't compromise like this.

Re: 50-lakh budget. BMW 3GT or something else?

Strictly avoid the demo car. Spending over 50L and still not getting choices of color or interior is not justified. Test drive cars whatever brand maybe are handled aggressively by customers and nothing wrong in that as they are supposed to be treated like that.

BTW between 3GT and 5series later is the best pick until you are not much bothered about ground clearance. A segment above is always preferred, moreover 3GT seems to be in end of its life cycle.

Are you kidding? You are spending over 50 lakhs and now you want to compromise on all the options and the car itself, so that you can save around 3-4 lakhs??

Be wise and get a brand new car. You will be in fact saving more by doing so. Stay away from that demo car.

Have you ever bought a demo car or know of any related experience?

Also, if anyone has info on Libra Autohaus in Delhi, that would be welcome. I couldn't find a whole lot on team-BHP.[/b]
I would go for the Demo car. Offer them a deal of paying some down payment to the dealer and till the 2000 km mark (try to do in a month) you drive the car with the ownership name of BMW so that you can avoid the worry of someone else driving rashly. Its probably a long shot. Savings of 6% now will be the earnings when you sell the car.

Very wise decision. If you ask me, if I was looking out between 3series and 3GT will anyday pick 3GT being more practical version of the same model but when 5 series come into picture there is no way looking back. A segment above will save you from the itch to upgrade for a longer time period.

Re: 50-lakh budget. BMW 3GT or something else?

We welcomed 3GT M Sport (330i, Petrol variant) for 49 Lakhs On-Road price. This includes 5 Years extended warranty along with BSI for 3 years at a great discount. Dealer insisted on insurance with their preferred partner and i didn't object since the overall deal was a killer. I didn't care much about 3 GTs End of life since the plan is to keep this for at least 7 years!

I didn't have a choice of exterior and interior colour since this deal was valid on Black or White exteriors only.

We booked and received Black exterior with Beige interior combination.

330i is a rocket and I'm very glad to have booked one.

Congratulations on the 3GT. Wishing you tens of thousands of miles and smiles.

49L on road is an awesome deal. Does the 49L include the 5 year warranty and BSI? If yes, it is even more a sweeter deal!
