re: Mahindra Customization Vehicles

Color choice for interiors is horrible in my opinion.
why cant they provide such interiors and features in top end version?

re: Mahindra Customization Vehicles

The rear spoiler needs to go and they need to add a bull-bar.

The rear lights and Plastic claddin are garish too IMHO.

Why does the vehicle have four exhaust pipes?

I liked the interior treatment more. With more space for rear passengers via elimination of the third row. Also the captain seats at the rear is a nice touch. A bit spartan though.

Too garish but fnished nicely.

re: Mahindra Customization Vehicles

The front portion looks killer, really nice and the alloys look good too. But there are a lot of things which I do not like and could have been better...these include the roof rails, hideous tail lamps(looks like a direct lift from scorpio's), interior colour scheme looks pathetic. The rear captain seats do look majestic though

the color is choice of customer.

because the price for such interior will cost 4+L more on standard SLX version.

+1.

but what i liked in this are following points.
  • elimination of front/rear track difference
  • 2+2 seats
  • sun roof
  • rear wiper
  • PW switches on the door
  • flat panel doors

Yuck!! is what I felt at first. The good points from my point are , nice seats, space, sunroof,, removal of 3rd row (liberates space.). Everything else is overdone. Strange colour exterior, a very strange leather (??) colour, Bling-bling alloys. Yuck. Too bad for an official customisation.

re: Mahindra Customization Vehicles

Not bad for Mahindra Customization. Frankly, I've seen worse, from other threads and other 'officially customized' vehicles from Mahindra Customization.
The exteriors look modern and a logical upgrade to the current Bolero. Do they have any idea of making THIS (exteriors only please) the next bolero facelift?
The seats are direct lifts from the Xylo. And the interiors need to be toned down in terms of the colour. Mahindra customization never likes the word 'understated'. They have to overdo it every time.
The interiors would be best in grey-beige or a more sober beige. The quantity of yellow in the interiors is hideous. Perfect for Govinda.
Overall, this is one of their better jobs. My rating remains 'not bad'. Could do better. As always

re: Mahindra Customization Vehicles

YIKES!
What happened to the word "subtle"? Did they remove it from the dictionary?

Front looks ok. I'm sure this bumper-design doesn't solve the "water splashing on windscreen" problem.
Oops! they forgot to fix that Walrus Teeth.

Horrible rear treatment. Unnecessarily bulbous rear wheel cover. Bolero looks best with the exposed spare tyre. An exposed rear tyre works as a protector. Now, with this contraption you have to protect the rear wheel cover.
Rear corner treatment with grey plastic looks like left-overs.
Rear spoiler does a great job in spoiling the looks.
What were they drinking when they decided the tail lights?
There's enough space for another 6 exhaust pipes.
Too bling alloys.

I'm not sure they've fixed the front and rear track difference....unless they explicitly mention it. It could be the fender treatment which makes it look so.

Bad choice of interior color. I'm of the opinion that the car interior should NOT be brighter than the car surroundings. Imagine driving in the night with your interior lights ON.
Rear windshield wiper is a welcome addition.
Nice roof-rack.
....and finally NICE BLUE COLOR.

re: Mahindra Customization Vehicles

I would take a pair of the rear seats, the electric ORVMs and those allen key bolts from the door hinges. The rest, I think the Dabwali/Mayapuri guys can do it a lot better and more "bling"er.
Wonder what the blokes at M&M customization dept smoke these days!

re: Mahindra Customization Vehicles

Stinger was any day a better looking Mod to the Bolero than the Xlusiv IMO!
- Interior Colour Sucks.
- Rear Spoiler looks funny.
- The paint job doesn't look great, although the colour is nice.
- Needs better Alloys and Tyres.
- Gear Shift should have been changed.
- Air Con vents should have been changed.
... and so on...

re: Mahindra Customization Vehicles

A curious mix of straights, angles and curves. And a spoiler to boot.

But what takes the cake is the Quad-exhaust outlets.

The straights from the Bolero, the angles from better styled & more rugged SUV's and the curves from the Scorp. Not well integrated.

If the choice of all these parts is the end users & not by Mahindra, then I wont say anything. It's the owner's choice.

One Word Ugly suits it. What were they thinking? Also the Sharp contraption in front bumper looks pretty dangerous for pedestrians.

re: Mahindra Customization Vehicles

Not the best.

Fit and finish looks great but color and overall design could be improved further.

There is too much going on the car in terms of design, the Bolero.
Have seen some better examples from them earlier.

I would like to learn and get trained under Mahindra Customization. Any contacts/links?

re: Mahindra Customization Vehicles

Very well executed mod job

The interiors are a bit toooooo flashy, i think if they can change it over to black, the car will turn a Killer..

All in all a great leap by the modifier almost bettering the manufacturer.

re: Mahindra Customization Vehicles

Hmmm.....nothing original to add excepting to concur with fellow members who find this thing too blingy. The positive takeaway from this is that good quality interiors can add life to the vehicle.

There was a thread in the recent past on the mods done to a Mahindra Bolero if I am not mistaken, by a gentleman from Kerala. Those mods were very very much more aesthetic and made the vehicle something to lust for.
