Hi,
I didnt really change the cluster, i just opened up everything and put red rubber caps on all the bulbs.

Take a look here, there is other stuff but i have closeups of the cluster :

i am changing the lighting on my Lancer's instrument cluster to white, it looks pretty good, apparently all the bulbs have to substituted with white LED's.......that's what the electrician is telling me. let's see if we get the desired result, will post pics of the lit up dials once it's done. One can also change the instrument needles to red as in the Accord.........one just needs to find the right guy to do the stuff.

Cheers

Good to know man! Let us know how it goes, and do post pics once they're fitted. Also, would be helpful if u tell us the costs involved.

OT: did u find a solution to your headlamp problem?

had taken off today from work also wifey and kid were out....so had around 2 hours for DIY.....time for action.....

got my power screwdirver kit and headed towards matiz....got the center cowl out....since earlier i had opened the center console for steroe DIY, this time i did it rapidly enough...

got 4 screws off and the speedo was out.....

the whole unit is so easy to fit/remove and also all the parts like the front curved plastic glass, the black cowl are easily accessible.

then cleaned them with cotton cloth...headed towards the rear part of speedo...

got the small bulb holders for center sppedo, the fuel guage and temp guage out...removed the blue rubber cap and cleaned the bulbls and fitted them back..

.then reassembled the speedo console and tucked in all the parts that i had removed.

Hi Harmon,

I WILL post pics once I have the car back from the garage. Basically the original bulbs in the instrument cluster have been replaced by white LED's. There is now a uniform white glow in the instruments.......looks cool, The needles also glow WHITE & look nice & uniform now, hope to get my car in by tommorow........
