I have hunted high and low for replacement blades for the B7 Passat, but in vain.

The original part nos. are 3AC955426 (Drivers side wiper blade for rhd cars) and 3AC955425 (passenger side wiper blades for rhd cars). Please note that the aerofoil profile for rhd cars & lhd cars is different.

The Hella Dyna Edge blades do not come with the push button attachment.
I also understand that the Bosch Aerotwin blades do not have the push button attachment

Searching on the internet revealed that the wiper blades are available on a UK website "www.vwgenuineparts.co.uk" but cost GBP 17 a piece.

I got the wiper blades from VW Downtown at Rs. 1,533/- a piece. They had to charge me for fitment even though I just picked up the blades, add another Rs. 90/- to the price.

After replacement, I am going to try and replace the rubber element and if successful, I will post it on Team-BHP

I also bought the wiper blade from VW, and they charged me 1.5K for the same. No Labor charge as I put it myself.

I am aware of Bosch aerotwin multi-fit wiper that has a flexible attachment and can fit 4 different hook types including push button type as on our car.
I had sent my car for service so got the wiper replaced, otherwise would have definitely tried the Bosch multifit, it costs about 1650/- for both left and right.

check this link: http://www.bosch-car-parts.com/spare...ink_part_id=11

Any kind bhpian looking for a wiper replacement on VW/Skoda/Audi should try this, and let us know the results. Double check the size though.

Have you checked out Sparco wiper blades? They come in frameless design with various adapters (5 or 9 types) that should fit on your car. Just check for the length of the blades and whether they come with the right adapter.

re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

Hello BHPians

I recently got a pair of wiper blades for my polo made by Bosch. It cost me Rs 1500 for set in local market. But I'm not sure whether it's Bosch aerotwin wiper blades since I have thrown the manufacturer cover. As per the initial observation it looks satisfactory. Anyways I need to reconfirm on heavy rainy days.

Hey guys,

Just a thought, the Skoda Fabia comes with flat wiper blades right? Can one not use those on a VW Polo / VW Vento?

Any places to buy genuine wipers online? The ebay stores looks shady. Do we have a flipkart for Auto stuff?

The Fittings on the Bosch do not match the ones on the Passat. The push button adaptor on the Bosch wiper is too broad for the wiper arm on the Passat. I checked this out a couple of days back. BTW, these Bosch wiper blades that come with 4 - 5 fittings are about Rs. 1,200/- per piece.

Tried to check Sparco, am not sure whether they have the push button adaptor to fit the Passat's wiper arm.

re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

Has anyone tried frameless wiper blades on Innova.
In 2010 there is Sbhasin's report that they were not great in a drizzle.

Any reasons why I should stick to stock ones?

Thanks!

re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

My Zen's wiper blades were changed a little less than 2 years ago at MASS. I insisted for Bosch but they could find only Passenger side blade by Bosch. I had to settle for Syndicate make on the driver's side. The Syndicate blade deteriorated pretty badly when compared to the Bosch one and while Passenger side Bosch is still holding up well, the Syndicate one gave up last night just like this: (pic taken from internet)

Will not go for Syndicate ones again. Bosch is indeed much much better.

re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

My Figo's stock wiper blades have started streaking, and i was waiting for this monsoon to replace them. But since it's raining on and off now, I plan to change them sooner.

Please update me if 22 and 16 inches are the correct size for the front. What is the size for the rear?

I changed the wipers on my Fiesta in April 2013 with Bosch and so far they've been great! I paid only 340 for them.

This is exactly the problem that I am facing as of now, the problem seems to have started only over the weekend that just passed.

The driver side wiper isn't making contact to the windshield and is vibrating despite of heavy rains (it isn't running on a dry glass). The passenger side is making contact but not cleaning entirely.

I still have OEM wipers on and its been about 6 months since I bought the car, would replacing the wiper resolve this?

I have the Swift ZXi, any suggestions on non-OEM wipers if the stock one's aren't as great?

Any suggestions?

Not sure if you have changed it already, but 22" and 16" are the correct sizes for Figo.

The rear size is 11", but you will have a tough time finding it. I have a fitted a 12" Bosch for my Figo an year back and it is still doing a good job.

Nope, I went to Bosch outlet a week ago and they were out of stock. The cost of 22/16 pair is around 348 INR and for 11 " it is around 148 INR. Will try again in a few days.

Thanks for the info. Could you let me know when you get your hands on them? I need to change for my car as well and I'm having a hard time locating them.

Can you provide directions to the Bosch outlet? I need to change my wiper blades. Do you know where the nearest Bosch outlet in Hyderabad would be from Lingampalli/Chandanagar?
