Owning a Ford Freestyle, whenever I use the wipers along with washer kind of getting semi circular parallel lines in the windshield area getting wiped. I think it should be having low grade wiper quality. Would it be better to install new wipers? If so any suggestions? |
I own a Ford Aspire and the wiper quality is pathetic. I replaced the original wipers after using them in rain just once.

I order MyTVS from Amazon. They are good enough. I haven't used them in rains yet. So not sure of their performance in rains.
I just switched my OEM wiper blades on our KUV1OO to worldwide silicon blades and they work like a charm. They are a little expensive at 978/- for the set but they wipe so much better and the best part is, a few wipes leaves an invisible layer of silicon of the glass which repels water thus better visibility.
I also heard reviews that they last longer than conventional rubber wiper blades.

Will give a long term review later. |
The wiper is holding up well during the last two weeks of Bangalore showers.
Just to note, for the long life of the wiper rubber, always lift the wiper arms after ending a drive through the rains. The blades bend upwards during the downward motion of the arm and if it stays long at this resting position, the rubber will not retain its neutral position. The bent blades gives bad wipes, noises and jittery motion.
Ive so far had repeated bad experiences with Bosch blades for my i20, Honda Amaze, and also on a bolero. Any one feel the same with Bosch - that are not good?

Earlier the Bosch wipers were imported from Germany and had Aerotwin model attached to the high end wiper blades. And then there was no frills replace after a season Eco model. The Aerotwin were replaced with a cheaper Chinese make Clear Advantage about 3 years ago, that was priced in middle of the earlier ones. If anyone here have observed the packaging, the earlier light/dark grey is replaced with a white/ light grey. And after this change I find the wipers not that effective.
On the other hand, the Aerotwin is now OE spare and costs a bomb even with discounts on Amazon.

Where did you buy these? Are they available online?
A heads up for these frameless wipers manufactured by GM Enterprises, ordered via Autotrends.in, works flawlessly, silent in operation and in my experience, they have easily lasted for more than a year. Plastic quality has also improved than a one I ordered couple of years back. Cheap as well, at 300 bucks a pair including shipping from Autotrends.
Feels good to be back on them after having a horrible experience with Bosch Eco. Unfortunately for me, they even gave me a nasty wiper sweep scratch which isn't going away.:Frustrati

Sorry for missing to add the price - paid ₹700 for it. Bought it locally at an accessory store.

How confident are you with this one? Considering its a brand I have unheard of, and it seems to be an import from China(a combination of which is very dangerous), what exactly made you to buy this one if I may ask?

Three of my friends have used these wipers on their respective cars and have worked well so I didn't think much before buying them.

Oh, that means they are pretty popular in your place. Even google didnt show any links to the product except that it is retailed by an Ecommerce spin off from Mahindra.
