I have been using Bosch for well over 8 months now. It's time to change it now since it's showing its age. Planning to fix it next week. I will go for the Standard Bosch wipers. It's doing a good job.

Have still kept my old wipers. In case these give problems can switch to that. Also bought the ArmorAll windscreen washer fluid. It does not let the water form sheets on the screen.
Buddy, I purchased the same exactly a week back. They are crap, started making Krr krr noise within a week. I asked for a replacement and they are out of stock. I asked for BOSCH aerotwins and I will pay the difference amount. Assuming that cost of aerotwins is X. I will pay X - Rs 600 for the aerotwins.

re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

Can anyone make a suggestion for shops/dealer getting Syndicate wiper blades in South Bangalore (BSK, Jayanagar, JC road). I needs to replace stock one after a year urgently. I tried Metro Cash and Carry, but they don't have stock on Bosch wipers at all!

Is JC road is good place, and trust worthy! If shop which shop would be better?

Thank you

Sachin's Auto Shoppe in Koramangala (behind Bosch) is a reliable place to get one. I picked my set from here.

Hi Nathan,

Did the shop sell you individual blades or were you forced to buy them in pairs? One shop I went to told me they only sell the blades in pairs.

With the rains and heavy traffic I couldn't go to JC road. Thankfully a local Auto shop had these blades in stock. Yet to install them.
I got one 22" and one 17". I wanted 24"&18" but this shop didn't have much.
Paid Rs.255/ for both.

P.S I hope these are not fakes.

The attender was "kind" enough to sell individual blades from two different boxes.

Am yet to install them - waiting for the car to finish its service this week. Will give a feedback then.

On physical inspection, the blades have 'BOSCH' letters printed and they look genuine. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Changed my wipers after 3 years!!!

Folks, I changed my Chevy's wipers last week. The size was 22" and 14". I paid Rs. 370 for the pair. I also changed the wiper on my Chevy's rear door wind shield. The size was 13" and the cost was Rs. 120.

My previous set of Bosch wipers served me for 3 years!!!
The last time I changed Chevy's wipers, was before my Kerala trip in July 2008. After three long monsoons, the previous set finally wore out. I am an extremely happy customer impressed by Bosch wiper's quality.

re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

Guys, i am facing a very unique problem with my BOSCH wipers. as i changed my wipers a week back, i can see a patch of fog forming as soon as the wiper wipes the windshield and again creating a hazy aura in front of the windshield for me to recognize any car or the dimensions of the road, especially when cars in front go all HIGH beams blaring over mine.

cleaned the windshield, cleaned the wipers, still the problem persists. is it normal ?

above on that my rear wiper which was again replaced by BOSCH is making noise while cleaning and somehow doesn't clean that squeaky clean. it feels pathetic to look at actually.

is it the atmosphere playing foul ?

I bought Chevy's wipers from my friend's shop in Kondhwa. I am not aware of any shops in the areas you mentioned. Try in any one of Castrol Pit Stops. They might be stocking Bosch wipers.

Naveen eight months is too short a life. Any specific reasons.
Usually vehicles parked under direct heavy sun gets damaged in a short while.
