Ragul,

Thanks for posting . Can you also share the name of the shop and the exact location? I am looking for a 12" wiper for my rear windshield and that is exactly what you've bought.

One reason I went to Adiga auto is because they are listed in the BOSCH website as an authorised service center. So, I am assured of the BOSCH quality. If there's another shop which can give me genuine BOSCH wipers why not?

That apart, I see a couple of differences between the ones you bought and mine. I bought 22" and 16" wipers while yours were 12". I am not sure if the price is a function of the size though. It would have been great if BOSCH had published the MRPs of the blades along with the brochure.

Please do share the details of the shop.

re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

If you source it through any of your friend or relative working for BOSCH you will get some discount (around 20%)

re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

I changed my Alto's wiper blades with Bosch ones. Got them for Rs 280 for a set.
Two things are crystal clear, one the wiping and the other the superiority of Bosch blades.
It was not raining today afternoon but fortunately within 30 minutes of the changing it started raining and my conclusion above. Initially in the drizzle there was mils squeaky noise which vanished soon.

Just saw this sorry. I may have thrown the bill, but if you take the gully opposite and perpendicular to Nitin Automobiles it is the 2nd shop or so on the left after you climb some metal stairway placed in front. The shop has images of Jain deities on one side and Bosch and Hella products prominently displayed. He seems to be authorized dealer for Bosch.

I think the MRP printed was 110/- on the packaging.

re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

Went for an Aerotwin hunt this afternoon Every one was quoting Rs. 1700-1800 for a pair for my Swift. I was bit reluctant to shell out that much for some blades and finally got to a dealer were he showed me an aerotwin mimic. The brand was "CONCEPT CARS" and it looked exactly like the aerotwins. His finall quote was Rs. 500 for a pair and I took it. The dealer was telling it will easily last for more than a year, but I am happy if it lasts for at least 7-8 months as I am parking my ride in direct sunlight and this one costs only 1/3rd of Bosch ones. So far so good, had a good 1.5hr drive after the replace through drizzle and followed by a heavy rain fall. They wipes flawlessly and had ZERO noise Definitely an upgrade to my OE noisy ones. I know its too early to comment on, but lets see what happens in the coming few months. Anyone planning for aerotwins can give this a look. Dealer is Veilside near NH bye-pass, Kochi.

re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

After numerous phone calls finally found the Bosch dealer in NOIDA,
Rahul Automobiles,
D-19, Sector-10, NOIDA

Spoke to Mr. Anurag (the owner) about Aerotwin for SX4, he quoted a price of Rs. 1640 after some discounts.

Then I went to the car market in sector-15/16 and a dealer there showed me an Aerotwin clone by the brand name R10,
for which he quoted Rs.550 a pair,
The 'Wiper Blade' Thread-aero_clone.jpg

My question to all here, are Aerotwin worth this price ? because the actual wipe is nothing different to that it is in OE wipers only difference is that the backbone in Aerotwin is plastic but in OE its metal frame.

Anyone here seen or used this R10 brand?

Feedback is mixed regarding Aerotwin price vs function. I find new Hella blades marginally better than the normal Bosch one.
Since R10 is quoted 550/- a pair I suggest you to get one piece (for 200+ rupees for driver side) and check it for couple of weeks and decide.

I purchased Bosch blades for my Swift last week for Rs 340 a pair from a shop near Vytilla and the blades are really good. I had been using OE for more than 3 years of better service after which quality of wiping deteriorated.

re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

I measured my i20 blades and they're around 23.5 inches and 16 inches. Can I put 24" and 16" set. Bosch doesnt have a predefined combo for i20 !

Of course ; you will have no problem with the driver side blade.

just measure the room available between the edge of the left blade and the left beading on the windscreen - this is normally approx one inch.

Even if you get 17" for the left take it.

re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

Surprisingly Bosch is coming out with the i20 blades by Q4 (sent them a query). Why so late for a popular car?

re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

I moved to Hella dynaedge at a cost of Rs. 1100/- net from R & T Kottayam. Actually I was not happy with the wipe of my 9 month old fiesta Wipers, and wanted something cheap becuse any way it will last only a monsoon, but sold on the look ! Size was 22" & 16". But since 16" was not in stock I wnt for 22" & 17".

I will update the quality once I am convinced !!

Me too have this for almost 2 months now. When I put it on, there was a bit of chatter and squeak in the initial 10 days. Then One day, I wiped my glass with some ArmorAll glass cleaner and put in ArmorAll windshield wash concnetrate in my car washer. Also, wiped the blade edge with some wet tissue and they havent chattered since. Au Contraire they actually help me to understand that my windscreen is dirty because they make this squeak sound and one blast from the windscreen wash bottle and the mud/ dirt./ oil is washed off and silence returns.

I am pretty satisfied with these wipers and no streaks so far and even at high speeds in pouring rain I am pretty confident driving.

touch wood.
