1969 Fiat 1100D as a living painting

This painted 1969 Fiat 1100D is adorned with imagery of Hindu Gods and Goddesses. It is supposed to portray the concept of Om!

Om or Omkar, is the vehicle to traverse the ocean of life, per the BhagawadGita. That's the journey of life for mortals -- where one encounters: creation, preservation and destruction.

Embodying this belief, the artist says, his painting of the 1969 Fiat 1100D is meant to depict the three elements of life governed by Lord Brahma the creator, Lord Vishnu the protector and Lord Maheshwara the destroyer. He goes on that, a vehicle symbolizes a mortal's clothes which he wears during his lifetime. The soul (driver) is within the vehicle. Analogous to the relationship of a human form to his own soul, the vehicle gets its life from the presence of the soul siting inside.

Called the "Omkara", this Fiat was the painter's final portfolio illustration project for his Bachelor's degree at the American University of Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.

Yes,It is Ayub Khan's track legend.
History books tell that it started life as a 1992 Maruti 1000 and at some point in its lifetime Ayub Khan built it for Saloon class racing and went on to win the last saloon class championship in 2005.JD won the championship in 2003 and 2004 ,got bored and retired.
After the series was taken off in 2005, Ayub removed all the goodies, made it a road car and sold it off to a guy in G.P. road.

Mahendra, so my guess wasn't wrong after all. Btw, I did remember seeing the car at the last track day and the one prior to that too. When you say goodies were removed, are you aware of what all went out?
