I think that is meant to make it stick out like chrome accents... similar to the headlights of the new Saab 9-5 sedan.

If the Saab's headlights look like this. They havent done a very good job..

The Saab headlights are not exactly like that ofcourse, it is finished in actual chrome, and it do look good, makes it stand out.

Saw a M800 with Toyota badging on the hatch and teh bonnet. What does one call that?? "Maruti Toyota"? or a Toyozuki?

I am just not able to understand why SAAB is doing this to it's cars. There was a time when SAAB cars were these really long, elegant and classy saloons...Used to love them then.
