check the number...what state is CAX, why it is used in a new car, i mean the old number system.

About the road roller, these were used by PWD in darjeeling previously, as the slope were to steep and other road rollers cannot be used or transported.
Now they are replaced by ingresol rand, etc which has one set of rubber tyre.

These are quite common sight on hilly areas. Atleast till a few years back. Jeeps used to be used for running one man Cable car systems. On this installation, the rear axle is directly connected to the cable car main pulley. I have seen other examples where the Jeep wheels are also intact, with an additional attachment on the wheel hub to attach the cable car system and another attachment on the opposite wheel to lock it in place. The Jeep could be easily driven away.

The tractor mounted on the roller arrangement was also quite a common sight.

With closer observation it indeed is an M800. The ORVM is from the 800.

I pulled up next to the maruti fellow and asked him what it was. Below is the conversation.

Cyrus- Excuse me, What is that on your hood?
Maruti man- It is K&N filter. the car is modified!!
Cyrus- Ok, But why the Box?
Maruti Man- That makes the car go faster.
Cyrus- Buddy, In the rains. your Air intake will take in water.
Maruti Man- No Boss. It is K&N so water will not go in.
Cyrus- What K&N do you have? The typhoon intake system?
Maruti Man- It has normal K&N. The car is modified it had Sports Silencer too.
Cyrus- ( By this time, i was on the edge of bursting out laughing.) Boss, Even my Fiat has A freeFlow. Hear this..Vroom Vroooommmmm. (And i zoom away as the Red light turned Green!! )
