There's another workaround for the VAG cars, which involves going into 17-Instruments- UDS Adaptation-(Need to navigate under channel to find)Vehicle speed warning for India- Change the stored value to NO. Voila!! No more annoying speed chimes. Also this doesn't change any of the metrics inside the VCDS.

This can be done with the OBDeleven. There are a range of features that can be activated and dectivated.
You dont even need the most expensive Pro Version.

Can anyone pls PM me the contact in Hyderabad ? Need it for VAG car

Thans OP for the thread.

Was anyone able to remove the "annoying speed beep designed for newbies or whoever I don't know" in Innova Crysta 2021 without loosing out on the other actual warning beeps?

These are more distracting to me than cell phone driving and it's driving me nuts.

There's also something in between 80 and 120 which like beeps every two minutes or randomly out of no where? What that heck is that? :Frustrati How did we get here.

Hello Sudhir,
Check for gearheadzhyd on Instagram. You can DM them there and they should be able to get you sorted.

That somewhere in between is the 80 beep that is supposed to be repeating once every two minutes.

Highly annoying.

I have only figured out VAG cars(VW/Skoda/Audi) and BMW(And Mini) cars yet for attaining the silence we all are yearning for rl:

Does anyone know a good tuner to disable 80/120 kmph speed warning in Coimbatore? I recently bought a Superb L&K and the sound is too irritating :Frustrati

Try this guy - 8762801414.

Any contact in Pune for disabling 80/120 kmph speed alarm in BMW X3 2019 model.

Thanks in advance.

Has anyone been able to do it for Kia without physically disconnecting the buzzer?

Looking for someone to do it

Codings on BMW & VW are possible online but for MB I think the vehicle needs to be with the programmer.

Will be interesting to find if someone had success on Toyota?

Not true, MB can also be done online. But the easiest to do remotely is BMW because it only needs a cheap OBD cable at the car that is readily available. The coder can connect and see the car as if it were local. And the best part is that all F and G series cars can be done with the same cable( BMW and Mini)

MB has a similar connection type but the equipment that needs to be with the car is quite expensive. Software can be with the coder

In case of VAG cars, the whole equipment needs to be with the car.

These cars are possible because there is a lot of community support for it and the diagnostics used for it. Toyota (just like or even worse than MB actually) keeps the original tools and programming under a prohibitively expensive Subscription model. So even if it can be done.... it won't be cheap.

Correct, I should have been more elaborate. What I meant was practiaclly, most coders are not willing to ship this usually.

No personal experience but have been told that this can be done from remote.

Interesting, someone will start something given the irritation these chimes make in our semi urban traffic.

Correct, an easier way (usually) is to find an FNG with the required equipment. They commonly have it for diagnostics and the coder can come in remotely and take access of the same.

I have seen this is a good option for those users who don't want to to buy this sort of equipment (may not be Bhpians). And need it to be done quickly.

1) Turn indicators sound
2) Hazard lights sound
3) Seat belt warning
4) Vehicle Start/Stop welcome sound
5) Single beep when shifting into Reverse

On crossing 80/120 KMPH, the 'Reduce speed' message will be displayed as usual. (Picture taken from our official review post)

Hi, planning on getting rid of it in my Seltos, good to know that dealers can do it.

One follow up question though, does this disable the handbrake alarm?

Edit - My dealer is petrified and flat out said no.

Anyone know specific leads in Chennai / Bangalore who can get rid of this pestilence for me? DM me if you cant put the info in the main thread. My drive is a Seltos

To paraphrase King Henry 2 of England, "Will no one rid me of this turbulent noise for me?"
