most of the accessory shops should have them. I bought a digital one from Autoshop ( JBL dealer ) in Koramangala. works pretty well.

Thanks!

I have an Accutire gauge I bought from US! works perfectly here!
It offers a good seal.

If buying from there, do read a few reviews. I came across a few nice looking ones but they didn't seem to get a good seal around the valve.

Here are a few pics

Well, am getting this air pump for off-road use.

VIAIR Corporation - 85P Part No. 00085

Works out of 12V socket, good for 31" tyres.

Hey Khan Sultan, i just visited the site. It doesn't say much about where to buy this thing online. What's the price? how are you getting it?

This is from Amazon, getting it shipped over here. Cost will be 5K

Thanks Khan, I have read the reviews on amazon. The pump looks pretty solid. Can i Join you in shopping this?

LOL you are again with online buy eh Mr Khan! :D

But seriously dont plug it to your stock ciggie lighter point, it will just blow the fuse and the holder of Spidey. The power rating is higher, so ensure you rewire with higher capacity fuse, wire and socket or connect direct to battery.

The 12 volts car air compressor is being advertised heavily and is available at very cheap prices , times shopping, rediff shopping etc offering this at between Rs 500 to 700. Want to know from members who own one of these- how practical is this devise, will this pump inflate the tire of a safari?

Well I was given negative opinion in regards to the same by another Bhpian Forbhaskarm - as he has brought the same.

It takes 20 minutes for 1 Psi.

May be adding a Jack & then filling by 12v can help.

or otherwise.
Buy a good quality mechanical Air leg operated pump.

I recently bought a normal manual leg operated Air pump - that filled air very easily & I am quiet happy with it.

Thanks & Regards

Got 1 recently. This one, for a change, is 'Made in Taiwan'. The accessory shop owner recommended it and is using it personally. I trust him.

Performance is reasonable. I am able to top up Estilo tires - all 4 - in about 10-15 mins to 32 psi. Haven't tried on Xylo tires. Kids' cycle, football is a breeze (no pun intended!).

I bought one of these from Ebay, the socket seemed to have some problem with my piece, whenever i plugin and plugout with ignition ON the fuse of cigarette lighter used to blow off. I replaced the fuses and using it by plugging in with ignition off and then ON the ignition when i want the machine to run.

The air compressor comes with Analog metre which is bit difficult to exactly cutoff the airpump else it does the job and a very useful piece to own.

Had got one. Used it to fill the tires in the Alto and used to work properly. Last for 1 year with, maybe, 15 to 20 times of use.

Have got myself one of those single barrel foot pumps few days back from ebay. Had difficulty in filling my daughters' cycle tire. Need to check with the Alto's tire.

And as for using either one for filling a larger vehicles tire, think again.
