Yes you heard that right. Peformance Chipping has launched a Box for the Safari Dicor.

I emailed them to inquire and here is what they had to say

Quote:
The Tata Safari dicor : we supply a plug and play box for this ( Rapid digital tuning) . this would give around 30 bhp more and the cost for this is 35 K

It will effect warranty, it works by changing the reading and making the AFR more richer AFAIK, more aware people correct me on this.

If its plug and play you can always remove it before going to service.
Anyways Zucchero/LBM/kpzen are the best people to go and find out, and if possible get a test drive.

He's waiting for the Pete's or RDKarthik's device whenever they're ready. Easier to get support for these 2 here since RD is in Bangalore itself and Pete's in the next state.

I wonder whether it may spread the power band a little more. Safari can do with some more elasticity (beyond 3000 rpm).

Update...!!!

I spoke to Mr Prashant Sagar.
This company has two products
1. Module
2. Box

They also do ECM remapping for all european cars..
The box for the Safari does cost 35K as Busa said..
I asked him what he can do for my cars Zen n Baleno...He says the module will do the job which increases power by 5-15% depending on the engine...He claims 5% for Zen n 8% increase for the Baleno....The best thing about all this is it costs only Rs 999.

I'm going to meet Mr Prashant tomorrow to check out the products..

PS: Busa is your real name Afzal
