Good workshop in Chennai?

Guys I need help in finding a good mechanic who is extremely reliable and who does a good job. Every guy I take my car to manages to screw up. Was wondering if any of you guys in chennai know any good workshop where they do a excellent job and provides me with VFM.

The other day I gave my lancer for the suspension job. Got it back on saturday after a weeks delay(mechanic came out with whole lot of lame excuses). When i took it out on saturday night there was a loud scrapping noise and something kept jingling at the back below the boot. Asked the mechanic to check it out on sunday and he said the bushes had come loose and lathe work had to be done and took the car back...Havent got my car back as yet.....Am stuck as of now with this guy but want to find a better workshop so that i can get the car checked before i go on long drives. Please Help guys.....

Try Electra Automotive. They are really good but only constraint is the distance.

They are located on OMR (Ol' Mahab's road) opposite the HCL building.

They have maintained most of JD Madan's cars including his lancer which was souped up to EVO 5 specs. Our member sideways also had his scorpio done up there for the Raid De Himalaya and he won it in first place.

I have gone to Electra and their work is good and so is the attention to detail.

Contact Krupesh patel at electra.

Thank you guys for all the info but would appreciate if you could also post the contact details of the various workshops. Was wondering which workshop would be the best for general service as well. Are'nt there any good workshops in and around annanagar?

i have no idea about the mechanics in chennai. but i got my Padmini's FFE and custom headers by Electra Performance, Chennai. i am sure electra is definitely quite good in terms of modification. pay them a visit. check out the reference link for details.

is electra performance and electra automotive same - i mean Kamlesh/Krupesh Patel heads Electra Performance.

for reference: Electra Performance

Electra Automotive is good, not exceptional. They have a different unit for Hyundai cars namely Hyundai Electra.

Based on their assurance, a friend of mine, spent heavily on a Santro (lots of replacement) & new set of problem arised within 6 months.

Infact acutally the user wanted to sell the car before he got convinced from them that with the proposed repairs, the car would run fine for another 1-2 yrs. I felt Kun Hyundai is far better than Hyundai Electra.

The other unit, which takes care of imported cars/lancers and honda's does a decent job. Personalized attention is one big factor for prefering it over other workshops (dont go any any tinkering or painting works, they charge very heavy)

@ redsfx : you can try "Top Gear" at Saidapet....Satish is the guy who owns the place...he's the tuner for Ayub Khan (esteem class champion) and has also tried his hands on the formula rolon's.

Pretty transparent.....found him quite reasonable as well

u have a pm of his number

Thanks for the info. Was just wondering how expensive or cheap is Electra? Few bhpians dont seem to be too impressed by them. Can they be trusted or will they delay and take me for a ride again. Thought you would probably know better because you got your car done there. Are their services vfm?

Well they are reasonable if not cheap. And i think if u can build a rapport with krupesh he will ensure a good job is done thru constant follow up with the crew. The other supervisors there IMHO just want to get done with your car. I havent had any unsatisfactory experiences with electra yet. *touchwood*

They do not have a pick up and drop facility as its a small private workshop not a big one like the others. But try callin them and maybe they could.
