I already have another Apexi S-ITC going in The Sonata. I have a DIY "Digital Fuel Adjuster" & DIY "WideBand O2 Sensor". These kits comes rather cheap (try 200$ total for both). One only has to solder them together.

Turbo will be remote mount STS Universal.

I can easily get the job done professionally by any number of tuners....but that would be akin to buying an-already -completed jigsaw puzzle!

Added one more performance part yesterday. It is called an Enricher. It modifies the narrowband o2 sensor signal when the engine is on load (settings user adjustable) & sends a dithering signal (the kind the ecu expects to see when mixtures are stoich).

So, i can enrich mixtures right from idle, without the ecu becoming any wiser & learning it's way around the mod! Cool eh!

Brake Upgrades:

Brake calipers & pads are from the V6 Sonata (OEM). These have bigger pistons & pad surface area than the Elantra ones & are a PERFECT fit.

I had the front and, recently, the rear brake discs also grooved.
The difference between stock & grooved is night & day.

Any downside to this mod of grooving the disks?

KSM, I'm using stock pads. No downsides whatsoever. There is no discernable fade even after hard use. Only negative i can think of is that the pads will wear out faster than before, but I'm willing to replace them sooner in exchange for the massive bite. It's awesome!

In naturally aspirated cars, there is really no requirement for an aftermarket FPR.

The fuel pump can easily supply the required fuel. By raising the fuel pressure, actually less volume of fuel gets in the cylinders because the fuel pump is made to work harder to supply the higher pressure.

In simply analogy, if you take a garden hose & cap one end with your thumb, the pressure of the water is increased, but less volume of water is discharged.

Now, manufacturers increase of the volume of fuel being pumped at higher rpm's to protect & cool the engine. If you run an aftermarker FPR, sustained high rpm's will be bad for your engine due to the reduced fuel flow.

You might gain some power though due to better air-fuel-ratios at those rpm's. Hyundai's are known to run rather rich at higher rpm's (above 5000).

Vivek/John, me faced a problem with failed Ignition coils (2 of them). Car started misfiring all of sudden on Pune-Mumbai expressway. Exhaust was getting red hot and power had dropped excessively at low rpm. Showed to a mechanic but he couldn't help. Drove to Pune in the same condition. No other problems. Engine temp was normal and car could do 80-100kmph.

My question is why did the coils fail all of a sudden? Any idea? I did replace all spark plugs a few months back. I am also running Kirrus remap on stock air filter and exhaust.

Have you confirmed it was ignition related? There are only 2 ignition coils on the Elantra as it has a waste spark ignition system. Coils do fail due to heat & age. It's resistance increases & eventually cannot conduct electricity.
