Re: Seat modification for better underthigh support

I have the exact same question. I'm getting a new XUV400 home tomorrow but the rear seats are shallower than my current EcoSport, and even the angle isn't ideal for good under-thigh support. I really don't want to mess with the factory fitted leatherette seats, particularly because there aren't any car upholstery mechanics in my city. Do any of these third party accessories work?

I am going to buy a new XUV 3XO and I feel exactly the same that the rear seat's thigh support and angle are unsatisfactory even for an average height person. I feel the same for my existing XUV 300. I need to know if we can get the thigh support increased without messing up with the original structure underneath the seats. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Seat modification for better underthigh support

As per my understanding what we all are looking for is something that is shown in this video. As I am also facing an issue with under-thigh support in my current car and looking for new car. I am measuring seat length with a measure tape, but no satisfactory seats found so far.

Re: Seat modification for better underthigh support

EV's have inherent problem of under thigh support due to fat battery beneath. How effective are plug & play type seat extender support hacks in EV ?

Nope. It did not seem like a more viable long term solution so never tried.

Seats are so much key to ride comfort, yet there are cars with poorly designed seats and no one offering quality and reliable aftermarket solutions. Most EVs are disastrously uncomfortable at the back with knees facing upwards.
