The Nippon remote has a option button, what is its purpose. There is no detail about this in the manual. Also the manual contains an old phone numbers.

Does anyone has Chennai contact numbers ?

Are you talking about the Nippon Central locking remote? If so i don't see any option button in my remote. All i can see is a lock, unlock and a panic button.

Please clarify?

Nippon system that comes factory fitted with Marutis has also a very good user manual. You can read this to learn how to program the system with various options.

I too have the NIPPON security system for my swift VDI. For my car whenever the car attains 20KMs speed auto lock will be activated otherwise we have to lock it manually by using the lock/unlock button.

This option can be configured with different ways provided on the manual. Preferably you set this option by a Nippon engineer or by yourself if you can properly follow instructions from the manual.

gopinathann,
This is the picture of my nippon remote. Mostly you have the same remote. Even I want to know the functionality of "opt" button. If any-one know more about the usage of this button, please let us know.
Thanks in advance

All you Chennai BHPians, Nippon has its office/service center located at:

11, Gengu Reddy Road, Egmore, Chennai - 600008

Contact Nos: 044-28364113 /14

The contact person there is: Mr. P Balakrishnan, Dy Mgr - Service who can be reached on 9962277113.

This place is not easily identifiable. One has to take the left from Poonamalee High Road after Dasaprakash Hotel (erswhile) and the Nippon office is located a few yards away on the left.

Today I have fitted Nippon Mobile Security System (NCS-6666) in my Ritz VDi. As my car comes with company fitted central locking, no need to fit the door motors thus, the system cost me Rs. 2800/-. The remote has an option button - in the manual it's function is not mentioned anyewhere. Could anybody throw some light on the functionality of the Option button? (Sorry for the poor quality photos, taken by cell phone).

Isn't the option button for identification of the car?
If you press the button, either you hear the sound of your central locking system or the indicators blink or both(sound+indicator blink) work together to identify your car , Your car still remains locked when this button is pressed.
