Our new Project-My Buddy's Turbocharged CRX

Hi guys,
My buddy wanted a turboed ride.So he is finally ready to do it now.
So let me start with the car .....

THE CAR
Its a old 1989 Honda CRX With 1.6ltr SOHC NON-VTEC motor.

Projected upgrades:-
As the post say a BIG TURBO (Garret t3/t4)
Custom made intercooler
Hondata Standalone ECU
3 bar MAP sensor
Wide band Lamba sensor
wastegates

Engine internal upgrades:-
Forged Pistons
Forged Rods
Titanium retainers and valves from Skunk2
CAM Upgrade(Still in process)

So guys we started the project yesterday and in progress.By the next weekend or maybe early we finish it.We r going to make the use of the motor to its extreme limits.

Projected Targets:-
1.Boost more than 20 psi
2.Power-around 350 mark or more on wheels
3.Car must be daily driven

I will keep everybody informed about any changes and updates through this post and post the pics of the project...

Comments are welcomed....

Archer

The d16 is a great engine to work with for turbo's. Looking at the specs above I am assuming that you have just put in forged internals to the engine, hope you completed the running in before the turbo install.

Also your list seems incomplete in the fueling and traction areas:

1) Upgraded fuel pump
2) Upgraded injectors
3) Clutch and drive-shafts

And are your daily driven targets 20PSI if so the ambient temperatures at Jalandhar will play a critical role. Wishing you all the best.

@psycho- would'nt the intercooler compensate for the high ambient temperature?

Sounds neat, but I'm not sure if the stock ZC sleeves would be able to handle 20 pounds of boost. You might wanna look into that.
