Congrats on the new found power guru. But why didn't you go for a FFE ?

Nice as they may look, they are not legal anywhere in India, specially the way it is put.

Well I am soon getting my plate done up
I am having an FFE installed. A free flow exhaust, is an exhaust that decreases the amount of back pressure in the exhaust system and also providing a smoother passage for the exhaust isnt it?...please correct me if I am wrong. The headers and the corresponding piping in my car are doing exactly that!!! I dont have a wide ID muffler thats all, thats because I am not much interested in too much sound.

PS:Psycho! Where are u!!!!?

I love the chromed look of the headers...definately looks good...but I would've gone for a ceramic coating rather than the chrome...

The Air intake is just behind the radiator?
Or did you change the routing after the pic was clicked?

Its behind the radiator, but theres a shield in front of the radiator reducing the hot air hitting the filter head, I am looking forward to routing cooler air in from the air dam area beneath.

TG.
Am pretty sure it can do more speeds than you have mentioned here. Those figures look like a stock cars speed.

Never the less they look yummy with the chrome plating done on it.

Psycho and TG: Nicely crafted headers. How much time does chrome plating take?

Just a couple of questions - hope you dont mind.

1. The air filter looks pretty close to the engine. Wont it be sucking in hot air? The filter could be relocated father away IMO.

2. If the design is 4x2x1 how come the torque kicks in at 4000 RPM and yet the car is driveable in city traffic? I was under the impression that 4x2x1 improved low and mid range power... where headers kick in at around 2000 to 2500 RPM.

I have a 4x1 header which kicks in at 4000 RPM too, but driving in city traffic is cumbersome.

My mistake. Its from 2500-3500 band rpm. What was actually happening was, I look at the meter when I reach 4000 rpm and somehow it got into my mind that thats where its kicking in. Sorry for that n_aditya.

TG

The FFE in my baleno has not increased the top speed in any gear, but she seems to be quicker to reach those speeds..
