Get the petes tuning BOX.. it will be safer Remap is suicide...SKODA is dam expensive...Remap and you would have to do Cooling system upfrade, suspension system upgrade and braking upgrade and Remap is no easy deal, better would be to go in for an Extra ECU with Remapped Code running, so you will be on safer side,
Petes should be able to help you out,

but a word of advice,
YOUR CAR IS A THREE POT!!!
with swirl injection,
unit pump system, each cylinder has got seperate injector and pump!!!
VERY COSTLY!!!
so listen to Peter for what all to do, dont leave any one department left out,

akshay1234: thanks. A buddy of mine has a Pete'd RS and I was floored when I learned the power was bumped up to 240BHP and that he intends to boost it further.

that would be a stage 2 remap. it can go upto 300bhp with stage 3.

Yes. 300 horses was the number he quoted too. I find it hard to imagine- that car will go like the blazes.

petes wud definitely give u a great deal of increase..
i have personally experienced it in my cousin's viva crdi....
with petes stage 1(ie stock petes) i cud feel great difference in 3rd gear.. i was reving much quicker... with k&n filter added to it,it works great, now its running in stage 2(ie petes stage 1) it has exceptional performance.. with little tweaking to the exhaust the car was able to play well with a stock verna in the highway which was not expected...
so u can anyday go in for petes than a complicated remap..
but there is also another product Tunit Performance - diesel performance tuning with over 1000 applications which can be reused in another car whereas u can do it with pete's. either ways change ur stock airfilter to cotton filter like k&n r green filters as they r must for better performance of the tuning box...
many claims a increase in mileage but its the opposite in our case but wen compared to the power differential 1 or 2km mileage drop is negligable

yep. you can get a remap or a tuning box though the remap offers a few more horses and is more expensive than the tuning box.

the tuning box increases the power to 130bhp and the remap to 150bhp.

Doesn't modifications like Pete's and Stage 1/2 erase the warranty of the car.

Just a thought as someone I knew wanted to get a Pete's Box on his Swift Diesel.

The tuning box can be removed when the car is sent to the A.S.S. So, no one is any wiser. Except the owner .

Remaps however are a different proposition. Since the ECU is fed new maps, the scanner will show different values (AFIK).

Sorry, Sir. lost this plot a while back.
I'm not your man when it comes to technical questions- the other chaps here are far more knowledgeable. Good luck.

Spawnofsatan - Remap would give the Laura around 150bhp.
Tuning box will give 130bhp minimum.
