I apologize for hijacking this thread but one last question, since i have been away from the indian car scene for a while now.

what engine does the laura use? is it the VW TDI engine? The reason I am asking is, I could buy an upgraded turbo from here for the laura. thanks

Hi, am planning to get my fabia 1.4pd remapped by custom code.
1. Wanted to check if there's anyone who has remapped his fabia, octavia, laura diesel?

2. Did they face any trouble by skoda guys or were they able to know using the diagnostic that the car has been remapped?

3. My only concern is will the skoda service guys be to know immediately that the car has been remapped once they put it on the diagnostic?

4. Is there a lot of difference between remap compared to the pete tuning box ?

5. Has anyone faced technical trouble with the engine and its sensors after the remap?

Spoke to Mr.Peter, he advised to go in for a remap for the fabia instead of the tuning box. Said the low end torque would be much better in a remap then the tuning box.
Can the tuning box be reprogramed to be used to any other car incase in future you sell your car ?

Any input by the actual users will be helpful.

Thanks, Abhishek.

For Alloy designs you may like to refer to this Accessory PDF on their Ireland site (nothing specific in referring to Ireland! just come-across it). Please find it attached, it has lot of original alloy designs, obviously most will not be available in India but you will get the idea about which one to pick!

Re: Fabia modification 1.4 tdi - dyno results

Dyno results of the Skoda Fabia PD attached. With the right tune, you can easily get 25% extra torque and power.
