Do I need to install an LPG kit in my car for cooking?

I've often placed my food over an aluminum foil and put it over the bonnet after a long journey to make it warm before eating. It does serve the purpose.

I also tried boiling eggs on engine heat but failed. Heat over the bonnet is not enough to boil egg. For that I had to put it directly over the engine and as soon as I opened the bonnet, engine became cool quickly before boiling the egg

Of course, I could have tried by running the engine while boiling, but decided it's not worth of burning petrol for boiling eggs!

Theoretically it will always be possible. It is same as cooking in a kerosene stove. However, engine is designed to contain the flame inside rather than outside so it will not be efficient compared to cooking in stove/gas.

An equally weird idea. can we have a mini windmill on top of the car that can charge the car battery?

I guess if you remove the cylinder head, you can do some deep fries too.

To make a bulls-eye, place the egg carefully in the exhaust, start the car and wait with your plate at a distance.

talking of utility, i used my cars dash (facing sun) to dry my son't pants that he wet on a slide, it had rained previous day. didn't take more than 15 mins. the area under the glass is very hot and can easily be used to heat MTR type packed food.

in cold countries we are content with using the heat to heat the car compartment.

Not weird

In many commercial airliners, if generator fails, they have small windmill like device on wings, which rotate on flow of air and generates enough electricity to power the crucial components of aircraft.

I'd like to warm my coffee when I drive to work in the morning. Its always cools down and then tastes bad.

It has been a very interesting topic for the past two days. Thanks to every one, I do'nt think the present car can be modified to cook or fry. This may require newly designed car which can fit a cooker or a heating vessel.

BTW I am just a science graduate with passion to science and technology.

certainly we can make omlette. put an aluminium foil on heated engine and then make omlette on it. could be useful in the middle of nowhere. but there also u require eggs.

LOL i have a car which have enough space in the engine bay to cook rice,tea ,eggs etc (my contessa) will try it with eggs for sure..

Yeah, with extra cheese and carbon monoxide. Burgers never tasted better. Don't expect anyone else to eat it either

Oh, and in a country where every 3rd speed bump causes the exhaust and underbody to rub. You will drop your burger on the road long before this contraption serves its purpose.
