Jinkies! you gonna do more mods in it? geeez. Where are you in chennai? I am coming over this week to have a glimpse at the beast

where did you get the engine from? how much did it cost totally? Very curious dude.

Hey one bit of advice. Keep your car looking very very stock for the drags dude. If possible get a steel wheels and make it look ordinary. Then smoke 'em he he that would be worth a look. A stock looking lancer smoking a.... how about a accord or TCed city?

Ok heres a photo of the engine. This picture is not my car. Just having the engine tuned and will be out of the garage for the weekend. Will take more pics and post them. Until then have a look at this link for what the engine looks like.

The only difference in my cr is that the battery is in the boot and I have replaced the air filter box with cone air filter and aluminium piping.

Until later.

amazing below-the-hood view Sideways. i can only imagine when this engine will go in a stock looking lancer & smoke out the rest. way to go~
btw, why did you put the battery in the boot?

hey gamer the battery is shifted to the boot to make more space in the hood...that place is used and some other parts are repositioned so that there is enough room from custom piping and also for anything else that needs to be installed...cheers...!!

Dragger just answered your question. I have moved the battery to the boot in order to make place for the air intake pipe and free flow air filter.
Most common mistake people make in cars is to put a free low filter with a pipe just behind the battery. The entire concept is lost.

A free flow filter will perform at it's best when air flow is not restricted. Also engines perform when intake air temperature is lower. Therefore the best way to increase power cheaply is to instally a Cold Air Intake otherwise also known as CAI. The best location would be behind the front bumper. But you need to be careful during the monsoons. The filter could suck in water along with the air resulting in serious engine damage.

Pictures will be up by Sunday.

Cheers.
