AFAIK, the project cost would be between 3 and 4 lacs.

Why don't you buy a used mivec lancer itself? There are quite a few on the classifieds section.

guys i'v already got a reply from sideways sayin that it would cost 3.5 lakhs including everthing and will take a weeks time for fitting and all so hopefully before winter i'll get it done well thats what my heart says but my mind tells me why dont you add another 1.5lakhs and get your sellf a 2nd hand cedia and you could have both lancer and cedia

The MIVEC is in an entirely different league compared to the Cedia. However the Cedia would be more practical. MIVEC's are usually driven hard and return poor mileage compared to the Lancer and the Cedia. I'd suggest you get a second car and keep the MIVEC for special runs

Re: Mitsubishi Lancer - MIVEC

I’m looking to swap a 1.6 mivec in my lancer (2000) from Hyderabad. Can anyone help me source the engine? And share some important things to consider before/after swapping the engine? If you can share an approximate cost and recommend any garages in Hyderabad that’ll be great.

Thanks in Advance
