Hi All,

Triggered a mail to Sanjay on Thursday, transfered the amount to his account once finalized the deal.

Received the pack today through DTDC courier











Accidentally I transfered 1233 INR instead of 1223, Sanjay kept the same in the pack and that's what in white envelope.

I made a purchase of Manza last year from Concorde and in the very first service i wanted to get the 3M Paint Protection + Underbody coating. Somehow i wasn't getting the confidence from those Tata folks that they can do a good job since i was disappointed with their 'service quality' and the Interior messup.. That's a different story though.

Now I have Cruze and Manza lined up for this work !!
My question is based on what i have understood so far from various threads (sorry for sounding novice since im one !!!)
Best approach is to get the sealant done first followed by periodic waxing !! Am I right ???
If so, can you please suggest which is the best place in bangalore (preferably from South of bangalore but not very particular) to get this done ???

raghu230506 did you got two pieces of yellow Microfiber cloth or was it specifically ordered by you. Just curious to know as i thought only a piece of the same comes along with the Collinite bottle.

I think that after widespread galvanising came in (late 70's) undersealing is today a con. Maybe high corrosion coastal areas may benefit but for the rest of us, it is not required. If at all I need undersealing then I will look for a global brand like Dinitrol who not only do the under-body, but also the inside of doors, sills, etc. Takes a few hours, and the car is held in the workshop overnight.

I requested him to send me an MF instead of perfume which was part of the deal. He was reluctant initially, but later agreed to do the same. I was not sure of what perfume he would send, I felt MF is more useful.

Did the price raise to Rs. 1359 for Collinite 845?

1 Bottle 845 (473.2ml) is Rs. 1359 comes with a free imported Microfiber and a free Car perfume

I have ordered Collinite and yet to receive the same from BBIMPEX. A few questions I had on its usage -

1. What do I use to apply the same on the car? usage manual from BBIMPEX say use cotton cloth and few sites have indicated Foam applicator. Which one is the best? Where in Bangalore can I buy this foam applicator?

2. Does it matter how long one should wait after applying the wax on the car before buffing with MF cloth? Can I apply the wax for the entire car and then start buffing?

3. Has anyone had first hand experience of applying the wax to windshield and window glass? How is it done?

1.You can apply using the given microfiber cloth.Dont know where to find foam applicators in bangalore.AFAIK they are pretty much useless because they absorb most of the products into them.Apply the produch on a small portion of microfiber and rub it

3.Apply the wax to rear and side windows.Dont apply to front because it will go off after using wipers

I agree we can use MF to apply it but even they absorb most of the product. Infact I would suggest its better to apply with foam applicator or for that matter any piece of soft foam/sponge (you can find it in any hardware store), cut it to palm size so it covers fair surface area, dampen it in water (do not make it wet, sqeeze out all the water to the dryest possible) and then evenly spread the Collinite-845 is the smallest possible layer. I found out foams are easier to work with as they can uniformly spread the layer accross.

Sir, I would like to correct here. The longer you wait the more muscle power (the more harder it becomes) you need to apply to get the shine out of it. Collinite is known to be easiest to apply and buff out. Never do the full car and then start buffing or else be sure for body workout. Buffing with MF is recommended.

I would suggest before you start, shake the bottle really well to make it really liquid. Apply with soft sponge evenly panel by panel. I work as I apply it to 1st panel, then apply to 2nd panel, buff the 1st panel to shine, then buff the 2nd panel to shine. If you apply a really small layer then 5-10 minutes should be enough for it to haze. Before you buff it off remember to check the surface, it should haze and the fingers should not feel it wet.

I have used it on all the glass surface including the front one. Its the same procedure, allow it to haze and buff it off. I would also suggest you to apply it to front windshield if you don't have other products like Rainx, it gives descent protection and water just crazily flies off. Don't worry about wipers wiping it off, it stays on for descent time even if you use wipers. I even use it on my alloys, remember to clean them thoroughly before you apply it. It adds a good protective layer over them and they become easier to clean subsequently as nothing sticks to them. Also, apply it to your side rearview mirrors. So the question is what remains on the car exterior, NOTHING! :) , don't apply it on black vinyl and rubber parts, thats it.

Well thats a smart move from you. And yes you rightly said, MF cloth is much more useful than the perfume. I think these yellow MF's retail for 130 Rs. or so.

Just finished with detailing of my taffeta white ANHC.

Process followed (All by hand):
0) Plain water wash.
1) Trutle Wax Platinum Series Performance Car wash.
2) Claying (meguiars clay kit).
3) Paint Sealent - Meguiars NXT TechWax2.0 (2 coats - in between curing time of 12 hours).
4) Insulator Wax - Collinite (2 coats - in between curing time of 12 hours).

Worked on each panel-by-panel and all this took me over one week.

Before continuing with between steps the car was cleaned with plain water wash or sometimes just California duster.

Guys I have also ordered Collinite 845..hopefully it will get to Blore in a few days!!!...the cost was Rs 1223 + free fibre + free perfume...

Sent the money on 4 jan got the collinite delivered today. Now some muscle work. Will put up pics and report soon
